Elden Ring Player’s attempt to make cheese goes horribly wrong

Elden Ring Player's attempt to make cheese goes horribly wrong

When the boss attacks from a distance, an Elden Ring player’s attempt to trick the Draconic Tree Sentinel completely fails.

One of the hardest bosses in the game, the Draconic Tree Sentinel, is attempted to be cheated by an Elden Ring player, but it immediately backfires. In Elden Ring, the Draconic Tree Sentinel is feared, and it is simple to understand why. It is a strong foe with a wide variety of attacks and a large health reserve. Some believe that simply avoiding a direct confrontation and attacking from a distance is the simplest way to defeat it.

Two of the most well-known locations in the game contain the Draconic Tree Sentinel. The first one is located on the outskirts of the capital. If the player kills this Draconic Tree Sentinel, Lyndell, the Royal Capital, will be accessible. The other is found watching over the entrance to the Maliketh boss arena. Due to the fact that they are both overworld bosses, these foes are one-time enemies. The Draconic Tree Sentinel in Crumbling Farum Azula has two summons available. If they have made progress in Millicent’s quest, players can summon her, but if not, the Great Horned Tragoth is always available. However, the boss is so challenging that even with the assistance of these characters, they might not be able to defeat them.

An Elden Ring player attempted to avoid a direct confrontation with the terrifying foe in a video that was uploaded to Reddit. The user, drunken corpse666, set up their Jar Cannon aim and found a viewing position high above the Draconic Tree Sentinel on the bridge. The enemy noticed and turned its focus to the player in the distance after firing a shot at the Draconic Tree Sentinel and hitting it. The enemy quickly retaliated with its devastating ranged lightning strike as drunken corpse666 adjusted for a better angle. This attack targets a player nearby and shoots lightning at them from above, knocking them back. Unfortunately, this Elden Ring player’s character was just inches from the edge of the ledge when they were struck by the attack, causing them to drop to their death. The Draconic Tree Sentinel in Elden Ring can be defeated, but it is not simple. Click here to view the full article.

The Elden Ring player was struck by lightning and lost over 500,000 runes in addition to their life. It’s entirely possible that the player attempted to cheese the adversary in order to keep their runes but perished in the process. Cheesing in Elden Ring is a viable strategy, but most veterans tend to avoid it.

The game Elden Ring is very challenging. Some even call Elden Ring one of the most challenging games of all time. With threats like the Draconic Tree Sentinel and the potential for instant death, it is understandable why players like drunken corpse666 try to take the easy route even though it is not always advantageous.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Developer of Beyond Good and Evil 2 is currently being investigated by the labor department

Developer of Beyond Good and Evil 2 is currently being investigated by the labor department

Due to a growing number of troubling allegations, Ubisoft Montpellier, the production company behind Beyond Good and Evil 2, is the subject of a labor investigation.

According to sources, a labor investigation is currently taking place at the Ubisoft Montpellier development team’s Beyond Good and Evil 2 studio. Montpellier has once again been thrust into the negative spotlight as a result of Montpellier’s development studios, which are allegedly particularly problematic. Montpellier’s publisher, Ubisoft, has been accused of a wide range of misconduct and management issues.

Even though Beyond Good and Evil 2 has been delayed more than Duke Nukem Forever, the issues at Ubisoft Montpellier seem to extend much further than problems with the way the game’s development is being handled. The studio has experienced a number of veteran staff departures, but sources have also heard that there have been serious burnout issues.

While Ubisoft maintains that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still in development, little information about the game has been released over the past few years, indicating a rather slow pace of development at Ubisoft Montpellier. As a result of the developer’s “unprecedented” number of extended sick leaves, GamesIndustry.biz has now reported that the company is going through a number of labor investigation processes. There have also been claims of burnout, and although Guillaume Carmona, the managing director of the studio, recently left, no explanation has been given, it appears that this is merely the most recent in a string of resignations. In fact, it appears that these departures are what sparked the Inspection du Travail,France’s labor surveillance service, to take a closer look at what’s going on at Ubisoft Montpellier.

One of many contemporary games stuck in development hell is Beyond Good and Evil 2, and if the most recent allegations about what’s going on with the Ubisoft Montpellier staff are true, nothing is going to change anytime soon. Numerous developers are said to have already permanently left the studio, and Ubisoft has acknowledged that a “third-party for preventative measures” is investigating the matter to offer a qualified assessment.

However, this apparent financial crisis at Ubisoft Montpellier is not a recent development. Some Beyond Good and Evil 2 developers foresaw its cancellation in the latter half of 2022, citing problems with the game’s creative direction. The idea that the project didn’t simply fit with the course that other Ubisoft productions were taking was brought up as another issue.

It could be argued that everything is in place for Ubisoft to permanently axe Beyond Good and Evil 2. The fact that Ubisoft canceled seven games in as many months at the start of 2023 paints a rather dismal picture of the state of the studio. According to what the labor investigation reveals about Ubisoft Montpellier, its eagerly anticipated game may be the next to be shelved.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 is in development.

Controversial Minecraft Steve Hitstun Cancel Technique Sparks Concerns of Character Domination in Super Smash Bros

0
Steve might be disqualified from competing if Super Smash Bros. Hitstun is postponed

A character who already dominates the competitive scene gains more advantages over his rivals by canceling the hitstun animation.

The appearance of the Minecraft Steve hitstun cancel technique has caused a stir in the Smash Bros. competitive scene and may lead to the character’s outright ban. Some competitive players are afraid that the already well-liked character will completely dominate the scene as a result of this technique.

Both Minecraft and Super Smash Bros. fans eagerly anticipated Steve’s inclusion in the game when it launched in October 2020. He became the first character to represent a Microsoft-owned property in a Nintendo game, which made his inclusion in the game a significant turning point in the history of video games. He is a very intriguing addition to the roster thanks to his unique play style and powerful abilities, but his dominance on the competitive scene has stirred up debate. Players still regard Steve as a dependable character, and the Super Smash Bros. community still heavily relies on him.

Steve was already a contentious character when he first appeared in the series because of his awkward moveset, incredible recovery options, and impressive movement. However, after the PLMG technique was discovered, some players found Steve to be overpowered in Smash Bros., which prompted some fans to demand the character’s ban. The Phantom MLG technique makes Steve even more formidable than before by enabling him to cancel the hitstun of any move that does not knock him down. The character has already been banned by tournament organizers in Florida, Kansas, and Missouri. On the other hand, the New Jersey-based Collision tournament series has only outlawed the PLMG tactic. There is disagreement over whether to outright forbid the PMLG or the Steve character as a whole, but there does not yet appear to be an agreement.

Have you seen the Steve hitstun canceling clips floating around?

Did you hope they were fake?
Well sorry to burst your bubble!
Introducing Phantom MLG: pic.twitter.com/OJ2GIM5Env

— XCido (@XCidoClipDump) February 25, 2023

When performing an aerial attack, Steve benefits from the technique. Steve is able to execute his subsequent attack much faster than his opponent after using a phantom block to deflect the enemy’s blow. As a result, he is able to punish aggressive characters and respond with a powerful combo of his own. Steve already possesses one of the best recoveries and one of the strongest defenses in Smash Bros. He is now practically unstoppable thanks to this additional strategy.

Some players felt it would be fair to prohibit the use of the cancel technique. It would be difficult for the tournament directors to find out if anyone is utilizing it, though. Others, however, contend that, given his already powerful position, it would be best to outright ban the character.

A few very well-known competitive players have weighed in on the conversation and made their voices heard. MKLeo, one of these players, muses, “What if we ban Steve?” More details on the efficacy of this strategy will become clearer as the discussion develops. It is currently unknown whether the hitstun cancel or the entire character will be banned from professional tournaments. It wouldn’t be unusual for a character to be dropped from the Smash competitive roster, but it would be shocking.

Elden Ring Extension announced formally by FromSoftware

Elden Ring Extension announced formally by FromSoftware

After a long wait, FromSoftware has officially announced Elden Ring’s expansion, along with a picture of the new location players will explore.

Shortly after the game’s anniversary, FromSoftware has finally revealed the long-awaited Elden Ring expansion. For every role-playing game (RPG) that FromSoftware has released since the first Dark Souls game, an expansion is available. People have been speculating about the Elden Ring expansion for almost a year, wondering what it would entail, where the story would go, and when it would be revealed.

One of the most eagerly awaited video games ever since it was first revealed was Elden Ring, which captivated players with a world created not only by Hidetaka Miyazaki but also with assistance from renowned author George R.R. Martin. When it was finally released, it received positive reviews from critics, many of whom praised its well-designed open world, setting, and gameplay, which offered a lot of freedom. Since the game’s explosive launch, fans have remained engaged in the community by posting videos of their gameplay and the various strategies they use to defeat Malenia, the hardest boss in Elden Ring, as they wait for any updates on the expansion.

Thankfully, the wait is over as the official Elden Ring Twitter has finally released the first nugget of information regarding the eagerly anticipated expansion. The expansion, which is currently under development, will be called “Shadow of the Erdtree,” according to the tweet. A single image that shows a woman with long blonde hair riding a spirit horse, possibly named Torrent, looking out from what appears to be the edge of the Lands Between and seeing the destroyed Erdtree in the distance as it leaks a golden liquid from its husk is posted alongside this tweet.

Rise, Tarnished, and let us walk a new path together.

An upcoming expansion for #ELDENRING Shadow of the Erdtree, is currently in development.
We hope you look forward to new adventures in the Lands Between. pic.twitter.com/cjJYijM7Mw

— ELDEN RING (@ELDENRING) February 28, 2023

Elden Ring players refer to the woman’s location as the Badlands, which is a large, hilly field of weeds dotted with building ruins and what seem to be ghostly representations of gravestones. Although more is certain to be revealed, not much else was said about the expansion, leaving fans to speculate once more with the one image they have.

Although the title of the expansion has been revealed, there are still many unanswered questions. Chief among these is who the maiden is and how significant a role she will play in the narrative. With 20 million copies of Elden Ring recently sold, many people are eagerly anticipating what the game’s upcoming installment will bring. There is optimism that more information will emerge in the upcoming months.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

The Resident Evil 4 remake gives players more options for dealing with sticky situations

The Resident Evil 4 remake gives players more options for dealing with sticky situations

The directors talk about the adjustments being made to make Resident Evil 4 more contemporary as the remake approaches.

Despite the fact that many people believe the original Resident Evil 4 to be the best in the series, the remake’s creators realized that player choice needed to be more prominent to make it more appealing to contemporary players. The Resident Evil franchise has been around for a very long time, but it continues to be incredibly popular thanks to the seventh installment, which rebooted the franchise in 2017, as well as the remakes that have brought new life to the classic entries. It appears that Capcom’s premier horror series will continue to rule the gaming industry.

The developer is going all out for this iteration to ensure that it pleases all types of gamers, especially in light of the recent confirmation of a VR mode for the remake of Resident Evil 4. The 2005 release, while still being an important game in the RE series, was a turning point in the series because it altered the formula that the first three games had established. It has aged over time, though, and the studio wants the remake to feel more contemporary because of this and the way the industry has changed.

The directors of the Resident Evil 4 remake, Yasuhiro Ampo and Kazunori Kadoi, acknowledged in a recent Game Informer video that bringing the original back in its original form would not be feasible in the present. From the beginning, it was clear that adjustments were necessary to accommodate modern gamers. The emphasis on player choice has been a key component of the remake because one such change concerns how players approach specific situations. Ampo claims that contemporary games go beyond simple combat, incorporating extra mechanics like stealth or an escape route, which the developer thought was crucial for this version of RE4.

In addition, the remake of Resident Evil 4 won’t have QTEs, or at least won’t focus on them as much as the original did. Kadoi acknowledged that quick time events are not common in today’s games, which required the development team to take a different approach to situations like the fight between Leon and Krauser and choose a new parry system in its place.

The directors have also stated that they were hesitant to remake Resident Evil 4 because they knew how much of a “masterpiece” the original was. The Capcom team appears to be able to combine a sense of newness with nostalgia for those who played the original release, though. This latest remake is probably going to receive just as many favorable reviews given how well-received RE2 and RE3 remakes were.

Resident Evil 4 launches March 24 for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Elden Ring Player Died in a Hilarious Way to the Beast Clergyman

Elden Ring Player Died in a Hilarious Way to the Beast Clergyman

A player of Elden Ring posts a video of their strange death while battling the Beast Clergyman in the Crumbling Farum Azula.

The Beast Clergyman in the Crumbling Farum Azula hilariously caused one Elden Ring player to lose their life. The Beast Clergyman’s first phase was successfully completed by the player, but he tragically perished shortly after in an unanticipated manner. One of the hardest boss battles in the game is this one.

One of the late-game areas that becomes accessible after committing a mortal sin by using the Forge of the Giants to burn down the Erdtree is the Crumbling Farum Azula. Players of Elden Ring are well-known for this area’s platforming and its abundance of dragons to slay. The area’s main boss is well-known to many players, but not everyone has figured out all of its tricks. Take, for instance, the battle against the Dragonlord Placidusax’s hidden boss. There is no space or time in the Crumbling Farum Azula. Because of this, players may practically run into the Beast Clergyman simultaneously here and in Caelid.

An Elden Ring player with the username DaddyPingu2874 demonstrated their unusual and somewhat comical method of passing away during the battle with the Beast Clergyman in the video that was uploaded to Reddit. The attack in the video is made with the Bloodhound Fang, a curved sword with a unique weapon art that allows the user to backflip while swinging the sword and then dash forward for a second strike. After several hits, this attack easily knocks down a boss due to its high poise damage.Until they inflict enough poise damage to create a window for a critical hit on the boss, the player dances around the arena dodging attacks. The cutscene for the Beast Clergyman’s second phase was started when they finally dealt the critical hit, but DaddyPingu2874 instantly died as a result. To view the complete link, go here.

The player was teleported to the front of the adversary to launch the attack as soon as the critical hit animation began. The player floated off the arena and remained in midair until the animation was finished because the Beast Clergyman was so close to the edge of the platform. They were killed as a result of this just as the second phase got started.

The player posted about their rather unfortunate fate on Reddit under the title “Gotta love these moments” rather than being upset. Elden Ring players are accustomed to dying strangely; in fact, many have grown to appreciate the illogical ways a character can pass away in the Lands Between. Reddit is flooded with videos of players posting ridiculous ways their Elden Ring character perished. These videos make for amusing shareable moments.

The game Elden Ring provides a lot more than just gameplay. The game is much less painful and more enjoyable when you enjoy the wacky Elden Ring animations and smile after failing.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Traveler and Calus from Destiny 2 may have some interesting similarities

0
Traveler and Calus from Destiny 2 may have some interesting similarities

While the two may be on opposing sides, a Destiny 2 player points out that the narrative arcs of The Traveler and Calus are more similar than some may think.

While it’s not uncommon for some characters in the same universe to have similar character arcs, a Destiny 2 player notes that Calus and The Traveler’s narratives appear to be building to the same point ahead of the release of Lightfall. Both The Traveler and Calus have been prominent characters in the game’s universe for years, with The Traveler being a constant above The Last City until recently, and Calus’ influence growing since his introduction in the original Leviathan raid. Whether it was Bungie’s plan or a complete coincidence, it appears that despite being on opposing sides, these two are heading in the same direction in their respective stories.

Narratively, The Traveler has been a constant in human history for centuries, helping to usher in humanity’s golden age long before Destiny and Destiny 2. Since 2014, players have seen it hover above The Last City, but with the end of Season of the Seraph, it has moved to a new location in high orbit above Earth, leaving the space above The Last City empty. Calus, on the other hand, became a presence in the lives of players beginning with the Leviathan raid before serving as the focal point of Season of Opulence and Season of the Haunted, as well as various bits of lore discussing his history as Cabal emperor.

Bungie has stated that both characters will play significant roles in Lightfall, with The Witness arriving in the Sol System for its long-awaited confrontation with The Traveler, and Calus invading Neomuna on The Witness’ behalf. The two beings’ arcs, however, have landed them at similar points at the end of Season of the Seraph, with the only difference being which side they are on, according to Reddit user WaterDrinkerUltimate. WaterDrinkerUltimate mentions a line from The Witness in the season finale cinematic in which he says The Traveler has “nowhere left to run,” and how it can also be applied to Calus. Click here to read the entire Reddit post.

For years, the conflict between The Traveler and The Witness has been building, with the lore mentioning the many races The Traveler gifted with The Light before fleeing and abandoning them to The Witness before the latter continued its pursuit. WaterDrinkerUltimate contends that the same could be said of guardians’ pursuit of Calus after discovering that the Calus they encountered in the Leviathan raid was a giant robotic stand-in for the deposed emperor. However, Calus becoming The Witness’ newest disciple appears to have put him in a position where he will be forced to confront the guardians.

It establishes an intriguing narrative link between The Traveler and Calus as they approach Lightfall, where both appear to be focal points of the expansion’s narrative. Bungie has been working for years to blur the lines between good and evil in Destiny 2’s story, most notably with characters like Eramis, Savathun, and Crow. While this link could simply be a coincidence, it blurs the lines further and opens the door for more player speculation about where the Destiny universe is heading.

Destiny 2 is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Starfield Fans Await News as Insider Rumors Point to Upcoming Showcase Event from Microsoft and Bethesda

Starfield Fans Await News as Insider Rumors Point to Upcoming Showcase Event from Microsoft and Bethesda

New Starfield Details May Be on the Horizon as Multiple Industry Insiders Hint at Imminent Showcase Event.

Rumors have been circulating that Microsoft and Bethesda may be planning a Developer Direct livestream for Starfield, their upcoming science fiction first-person shooter RPG. The game was officially announced at E3 2018 and is set in the 2330s, where players take on the role of a space explorer from an organization called Constellation. Starfield is described as “Skyrim in space,” and features both ground and space combat. Players can customize their ships, establish colonies, and explore over 1000 planets. Bethesda plans to release Starfield sometime in the first half of 2023.

According to multiple insider sources, a Starfield showcase is imminent, with some claiming that Microsoft and Bethesda will announce the event next week. This news was initially tweeted by Video Games Chronicle’s Editor-in-Chief Andy Robinson and was later corroborated by YouTuber Rand Al Thor 19 and Windows Central Editor Jez Corden on their latest Xbox Two podcast.

While the insiders did not provide any additional information about the announcement, they did state that they had heard rumors since before The Game Awards that Bethesda would hold a Starfield showcase in March or April 2023. With multiple sources consistently telling the same story for so long, these rumors hold more credibility than they would otherwise.

However, the insiders were careful not to state that the rumors were facts, given how fluid Bethesda’s plans for Starfield seem to be. While the game is set to release in the first half of this year, there has been conflicting information on the timing of its release, with some reports claiming it has been delayed to later in the summer, while others claim it is targeting a June release. Bethesda has said that a release date will be announced in the near future.

Fans are eagerly awaiting official details on Starfield, and any leaks related to the game are quickly picked up and shared. However, some leaks turn out to be fake, such as a recently leaked image that was claimed to be a still taken from a cinematic trailer for the game. It turned out to be an AI-generated fake created through Midjourney, with minor edits to make it appear like an off-screen still taken from a trailer.

While fans await official news, the rumors of a Starfield showcase from multiple credible sources have them excited for what could be coming soon.

Sims and the Nintendo Switch: What Fans Need to Know

The Sims and the Nintendo Switch: What Fans Need to Know

Fans of The Sims have been eagerly waiting for a Nintendo Switch version of the game, but so far, Electronic Arts has not announced any plans to release it. However, there is still hope for The Sims to arrive on the Switch in the future.

The Sims has a long history with Nintendo consoles, having been available on GameBoy Advance and GameCube in the 2000s. While these were spin-offs of the mainline game on PC, they still offered a unique gameplay experience that fans enjoyed. However, in recent years, Electronic Arts has focused more on making The Sims available on mobile devices, with The Sims Mobile and The Sims Freeplay being popular options.

What was the history of The Sims on Nintendo consoles prior to the Switch?

Before the Nintendo Switch, The Sims franchise had a history with various Nintendo consoles. The Sims was first released on the Nintendo GameCube in 2003 as The Sims and later as The Sims Bustin’ Out. These games were spin-offs that offered a different gameplay experience compared to the mainline PC games, including an open social simulator in The Sims Urbz for GameCube and a pixel art style with a tighter narrative in The Sims for GameBoy Advance and Nintendo DS.

Later on, in 2007, The Sims 2 was released on the Nintendo DS, Wii, and GameBoy Advance. These games also featured unique gameplay experiences and controls tailored to the specific console they were released on.

Why do fans of The Sims want the game on Nintendo Switch?

One reason why fans are clamoring for The Sims on the Switch is the portability and versatility of the console. With its ability to be played on-the-go or on a TV, the Switch would be a perfect platform for players to immerse themselves in the world of The Sims.

Fans of The Sims have expressed their desire to have the game on Nintendo Switch for several reasons. Firstly, the portability of the Switch would allow players to take their Sims with them on the go and play the game anywhere, anytime. Secondly, The Sims has a long history with Nintendo consoles, including the GameBoy Advance and GameCube, so fans feel that it would be fitting to see the franchise return to a Nintendo platform. Thirdly, having The Sims on Switch would provide a new audience for the game, including those who may not have access to a PC or other gaming consoles. Overall, fans believe that having The Sims on Nintendo Switch would be a great addition to the platform and would help to expand the player base of the franchise.

Moreover, the Switch’s unique features, such as the touch screen and Joy-Con controllers, could potentially enhance the gameplay experience of The Sims. For instance, players could use the touch screen to easily navigate menus and build structures, or use the Joy-Con controllers for more interactive and intuitive controls.

Despite the popularity of The Sims franchise, the later iterations of the game, such as The Sims 3 and The Sims 4, were not released on Nintendo consoles until the Switch. Overall, The Sims had a varied history on Nintendo consoles prior to the release of The Sims 4 on the Nintendo Switch.

Could The Sims Mobile and Freeplay offer any hints about the future of the franchise on Nintendo Switch?

The Sims Mobile and Freeplay

The Sims Mobile and The Sims Freeplay could offer some hints about the future of The Sims franchise on Nintendo Switch. Both of these games were developed to make The Sims more accessible to players on different devices, so it’s possible that Electronic Arts could be looking to expand the franchise’s availability to more platforms, including the Switch.

There have been rumors about The Sims 5 featuring mobile-friendly features, but it is unclear if this means the entire game will be available on mobile devices or if there will be a companion app with mobile capabilities. As for the Switch, Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson stated that most people who own a Switch also own an Xbox, PC, or PlayStation, so having The Sims on the Switch was not a necessity.

The Sims Mobile, in particular, features a lot of the same gameplay elements as the mainline Sims games, including building and customizing houses, creating and controlling Sims, and forming relationships with other characters. The fact that Electronic Arts is developing mobile-friendly features for The Sims 5 could suggest that they are looking to bring the franchise to even more devices, including the Switch.

However, it’s important to note that the development of mobile-friendly features for The Sims 5 does not necessarily mean that the entire game will be available on mobile devices or the Switch. Electronic Arts may choose to release a companion app or a stripped-down version of the game on these platforms instead of the full version.

Despite this, fans are still hoping for a Switch version of The Sims. There have been reports of more GameBoy Advance games being added to Nintendo Switch Online, so there is a possibility that The Sims GameBoy Advance games could be included. However, this does not necessarily mean that The Sims 4 or any future installments of the game will be released on the Switch.

While there is no confirmation of The Sims arriving on the Nintendo Switch, fans can still hope for it in the future. Electronic Arts has made efforts to make the game available on multiple devices, and it is possible that The Sims GameBoy Advance games could be added to Nintendo Switch Online. Only time will tell if The Sims will ever make its way to the Switch.

What benefits could The Sims on Nintendo Switch offer to both Nintendo and Electronic Arts?

The Sims on Nintendo Switch offer to both Nintendo and Electronic Ar

The Sims on Nintendo Switch could offer benefits to both Nintendo and Electronic Arts. For Nintendo, having The Sims on its platform would add another popular and beloved game franchise to its library. It could also attract new players to the Switch who may not have previously owned a Nintendo console or who may be interested in playing The Sims on a portable device. Additionally, having The Sims on the Switch could help to expand Nintendo’s audience beyond its typical demographic of younger players.

For Electronic Arts, having The Sims on Nintendo Switch could open up a new market for the franchise. The Switch has been a popular console among casual gamers and families, making it a prime platform to introduce The Sims to a new audience. Additionally, having The Sims on the Switch would give players a new way to play the game and increase the franchise’s overall accessibility.

The Sims on Nintendo Switch would provide both companies with the opportunity to reach a wider audience and expand their market, potentially leading to increased revenue and continued success for both parties.

It is also worth noting that The Sims is a popular game franchise with a dedicated fanbase, and having it on the Switch could attract more players to the console. This could potentially increase the sales of the Switch and generate more revenue for both Nintendo and Electronic Arts.

What challenges exist in bringing The Sims to Nintendo Switch?

There are also some potential challenges that could hinder the release of The Sims on the Switch. One of these is the technical limitations of the console compared to high-end gaming PCs or consoles. The Sims 4, for example, requires a significant amount of processing power and memory, which the Switch may not be able to handle.

Another challenge is the licensing and distribution agreements between Electronic Arts and Nintendo. These agreements could potentially limit the availability of The Sims on the Switch or require certain modifications to the game to comply with Nintendo’s standards.

Overall, while there are obstacles to overcome, fans of The Sims on the Switch can still hold out hope for a future release. As long as there is demand for the game on the console, Electronic Arts and Nintendo may consider working together to make it happen.

Player from Destiny 2 Shares an Idea for a “New Race” in Its Final Form

0
Player from Destiny 2 Shares an Idea for a "New Race" in Its Final Form

As Bungie concentrates on Destiny 2: Lightfall, a player offers their opinion on how the developer can introduce a new foe in The Final Shape.

While Bungie isn’t bringing a brand-new enemy race to bear in Destiny 2: Lightfall, a player shares their ideas on how to do this in the sequel’s expansion, The Final Shape. Players have fought a variety of enemies in the universe of Destiny across the stars. The Tormentors, hulking Witness servants who assist Calus and the Shadow Legion in invading Neomuna, will be the only new enemy type in Lightfall. The player in question wasn’t afraid to express how frustrated they were with the current races, but it doesn’t seem like a brand-new race is on the horizon.

The Fallen, Cabal, Vex, Hive, Taken, and Scorn are the current enemy races in Destiny 2, with the first four being the original races from vanilla Destiny. The original four races’ various units would be transformed into the twisted, altered versions of The Taken in Destiny: The Taken King. The Scorn would be included in Destiny 2: According to legend, the Fanatic uses Dark Ether to revive the Fallen who have been abandoned and turned into zombies.

Some members of the Destiny community keep asking and speculating as to when a completely new race will be added to the game because the Scorn and Taken have both been described as reskinned variations of current enemies. The only references to potential enemy races that can be found in the lore and early concept art for the original Destiny are typical of Bungie’s silence on this front. Due to Bungie’s apparent lack of response, Reddit user Aquamorinax took the initiative to propose a potential solution on how to introduce a “new race” by finding a middle ground between reskinning current enemy units and creating entirely new enemy designs. To view the complete link, go here.

The illustration Aqua provides for their concept uses a Fallen Servitor as the basis and transforms it into a Pyramid-style foe with an attack resembling the one from Lightfall’s launch trailer. The use of pre-existing designs and mechanics would enable Bungie to develop a “new race” more quickly and easily than if they had to start from scratch, according to Aqua. The Heavy Warmind Frames from Season of the Worthy and the Season of the Seraph climax mission are then cited as examples of this concept in action, with the frames being described as “just reskinned Hive ogres.”

Aqua may have argued in favor of this strategy, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if it ended up dividing the Destiny community. Some players might argue that Bungie already recycles too much content, citing as just one recent example the Neomuna weapons that seem to be reskinned Luna weapons from Shadowkeep. Other players might argue against this by citing the general difficulties of development, and this strategy might accomplish two goals at once for the release of The Final Shape.

Destiny 2 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
