The latest Resident Evil animated film features series regulars Chris Redfield and Leon Kennedy fighting zombies on an island.

The first teaser trailer for Resident Evil: Death Island, the latest animated film in Capcom’s famous survival horror franchise, has been released.

The teaser trailer for the CG-animated Resident Evil film, shared by IGN on YouTube, shows series protagonists Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield up to their usual zombie-shooting habits, this time on Alcatraz island. Jill Valentine, a fan-favorite Resident Evil character who has been largely absent from most of the franchise’s recent entries with the exception of the 2020 remake of Resident Evil 3, also makes an unexpected appearance at the end of the trailer.

The upcoming animated film will follow Leon S. Kennedy, who is “on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from kidnappers when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit.” Meanwhile, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance agent Chris Redfield is in San Francisco “investigating a zombie outbreak” whose “cause of infection cannot be determined.” According to the official Resident Evil: Death Island synopsis, “The only thing the victims have in common is that they have all recently visited Alcatraz Island. Following that lead, Chris and his team travel to the island, where they encounter a new horror.”

Death Island will be the fourth series in Capcom’s Resident Evil film series, following Resident Evil: Degeneration, Resident Evil: Damnation, and Resident Evil: Vendetta. The fourth installment is directed by Eiichiro Hasumi, who previously directed the Netflix miniseries Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness in 2021, from a screenplay written by Psycho-Pass novelist Makoto Fukami. Resident Evil: Death Island is a direct sequel to Resident Evil: Vendetta, which saw Leon and Chris dealing with a biohazard outbreak in New York City and shooting their mutated adversaries with gun-fu flair.

The Resident Evil franchise has previously featured an island setting in both games and other media. Resident Evil 4’s large island setting pitted Leon against mobs of militaristic enemies and Krauser, an old mercenary from his past. This section of the game is expected to be included in the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 4, which is set to be released in March.

Resident Evil: Heavenly Island, a 2015 manga series written by Naoki Serizawa, also took place on a sunny Caribbean island where a film crew was filming Idol Survival, a popular TV show starring scantily clad models. Claire Redfield of Resident Evil 2 fame was dispatched to the island to investigate a deadly biohazard outbreak.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release Resident Evil: Death Island in all territories except Japan in the summer of 2023.

Players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 want the Survivor Perk to be removed

Players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 want the Survivor Perk to be removed

One video highlights the impact of the Survivor perk on the match flow, leading some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players to call for its removal.

Players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 have voiced their desire for Activision to either remove the Survivor perk from the game or at the very least, offer ways to mitigate its impact. One of the most significant changes in Modern Warfare 2 is the new perk system, which sets it apart from 2019’s Modern Warfare.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, players can select from four perks, two of which are available at the start of the game and the other two of which are unlocked as the game progresses. Base perks are the ones that are available right away, and players earn bonus and ultimate perks as the game progresses. As to be expected, the ultimate category contains some of Modern Warfare 2’s best perks, but some players want to see one of them removed.

A Reddit user named draculadarcula posted a video of a free-for-all match on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s Shoot House map. It depicts the player repeatedly killing opponents, only for the Survivor perk to activate, forcing the player to shoot them again in order to complete the kill. The video emphasizes the impact of the Survivor perk on the flow of the match, with draculadarcula calling for this perk to be removed from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, or for Activision to provide a way to counteract this effect.

Many players appear to agree with draculadarcula, with several stating that it should not be included in Modern Warfare 2. Some fans believe that negating the effects of the Survivor perk with headshots would be a great way to balance it, as users would be rewarded for their accuracy. One user also complains that the person who shoots the downed enemy is rewarded for the kill rather than the gamer who activated Survivor.

On the other hand, some fans argue that Survivor isn’t all that useful, especially against skilled opponents. Players who do not want to use this tactic in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 have the option of using Ghost or Quick Fix.

When Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 launches, Activision will make changes to the rate at which perks are earned during matches. Fans will have much easier access to the bonus and ultimate perks during matches, but some players argue that such a perk system should not have been included in Modern Warfare 2.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X

The ESRB Rating for Dead Island 2 confirms unconventional weapons and graphic violence

The ESRB Rating for Dead Island 2 confirms unconventional weapons and graphic violence

If the ESRB rating is any indication, Dead Island 2 is ready to deliver on its promise of unrestrained, gratuitous violence.

The ESRB rating for the upcoming game Dead Island 2 confirms that players can anticipate series staples like unusual weapons and graphic gore to feature prominently. Dead Island 2 has been in development since 2012, and several different developers worked on the game before Dambuster Studios, one of Deep Silver’s in-house teams, was chosen to finish it.

Dead Island 2 appears to have experienced its fair share of development issues despite being initially scheduled for a 2015 release. Techland had been working on it until the company decided to concentrate on Dying Light. After Deep Silver withdrew from the partnership, Dead Island 2 was placed in Yager Development’s hands. A key Yager employee claimed that the two companies’ respective visions for the game did not coincide. Dead Island 2 was initially announced to be in development by Sumo Digital in 2016; however, in 2019, Dambuster was revealed to have taken over. Unsurprisingly, by this point, many fans had long since lost hope that the game would ever be released, at least until Dead Island 2 finally got a release date in August 2022.

The ESRB has given Dead Island 2 the M (Mature) rating due to its use of drugs, blood and gore, intense violence, strong language, and suggestive themes. It almost seems as though the game’s creators used the list of factors that could result in a M rating as a checklist. The rating summary gives more information about why the game received this rating, describing the gameplay of Dead Island 2 and giving some examples, such as using unusual weapons to kill zombies, like car batteries, as well as a lot of blood spatter, dismemberment, and even some obscenity-filled dialogue.

Any fan of survival horror or zombie games will be excited about Dead Island 2 after reading the ESRB rating summary, if it is any indication of what to expect from the game. Previous games in the Dead Island series gained a reputation for their particularly gory combat and unusual, adaptable weapons. Baseball bats, swords, machetes, and axes all have various home-made upgrades that increase their damaging potential. Dead Island 2’s setting appears to be at odds with its name, but the gameplay suggests that it has managed to stay true to itself.

Dead Island 2 hasn’t been stopped from reviving into one of the most anticipated games of 2023, despite the fact that it has endured numerous delays to the point where it has been challenging for the publisher to create or maintain hype for the title. Even though Dead Island 2 may have finally emerged from the depths of development hell, one can only hope that after such a long wait, it won’t end up in a shallow grave of unfulfilled expectations.

Dead Island 2 launches on April 28, 2023, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

PS5 was the best-selling console last week in Japan

In Japan, the PS5 was the best-selling console last week

The best-selling console for the final week of January was the PS5, which continues to be the console of choice for Japanese gamers.

According to the most recent sales statistics, PS5 continued to rule the console market last week in Japan, where it was the best-selling console overall. Since the PS5 console’s release in November 2020, there has been a persistent problem with availability, with many fans unable to obtain the eagerly anticipated gadget. A number of things, including production and assembly issues with hardware component limitations, can be blamed for this scarcity. The COVID-19 pandemic has also posed a number of difficulties for the shipping sector, which has made the PS5 shortage even more acute.

Jim Ryan, the CEO of PlayStation, spoke about the PS5 shortages in a video call at the PlayStation Partner Awards in December 2022. He apologized to the customers for the inconvenience and assured them that all supply problems had been fixed. Customers in Japan and Asia will be able to purchase their PS5 units during the year-end shopping season and into 2023, Ryan specifically mentioned.

Sales of the PS5 have increased in Japan as a result of the gradual improvement in supply issues. Famitsu reports that with a total of 62,908 units sold during the week ending January 29, 2023, the PS5 was the most popular gaming console in Japan. This number exceeded the Nintendo console’s sales, which over the same time period sold 51,108 units. Less than 10,000 copies of the PS5’s digital edition were sold, falling short of expectations. Compared to this, Microsoft’s Xbox Series X/S sold only slightly more than 1,200 units during the same time period.

Units sold:
PS5 – 62,908
Switch – 51,108
Xbox Series – 1,265

Nintendo’s sales numbers have frequently overshadowed the long history of PlayStation console success in Japan. Nintendo Switch games like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Splatoon 3, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate have dominated software sales in Japan over the past few months. Despite this, the fact that the PS5 outsold Nintendo in Japan suggests that Sony’s hardware is growing in popularity.

In 2020, the video game industry expanded significantly as a result of lockdowns and stay-at-home policies. Even with the relaxation of restrictions, Sony has not displayed any signs of slowing down. Nearly $10 billion was made by Sony’s Game and Network Services division in 2022, a 53% YoY increase. Additionally, Sony sold over 7 million PlayStation 5 units over the holiday season, an 82% increase from the previous quarter. Since its release, Sony has reportedly sold 32 million PS5 units, with 25% of those sales occurring in the most recent fiscal quarter. Sony needs to sell an additional 5 million units by the end of March 2023 in order to meet its sales targets.

Elden Ring Fan Discovers the Eye of Yelough in Real Life

Elden Ring Fan Discovers the Eye of Yelough in Real Life

A fan of Elden Ring discovers a fruit native to Brazil that looks like the Eye of Yelough, a berry-like crafting substance well-known for its analgesic properties.

The real-life Eye of Yelough appears to have been found by an Elden Ring enthusiast. The Eye of Yelough, which the game refers to as a “shrub fruit bursting with ripened pulp,” is a crafting material that can be used to create White Cured Meat and Clarifying Boluses.

From Software’s Elden Ring, which will be available in 2022, allows players to explore the Lands Between while avoiding difficult enemies and bosses that call for the strongest build/s possible in order to survive. Playable items like throwable weapons, power-ups, and cures for status ailments can all be made using Elden Ring crafting materials, making them crucial components of the game’s gameplay. These supplies are frequently dropped by enemies or found in specific locations. For instance, the Eye of Yelough is located in Callu Baptismal Church and Ailing Village, and it can also be obtained by killing a Frenzied Troll Knight.

Although George R.R. Martin’s fantasy world in which Elden Ring is set is real, one fan discovered a fruit that resembled the Eye of Yelough. The “eyes of the Amazon” or guarana fruits, which are native to Brazil and have red skin with black bean-like seeds sticking out that resembled eyeballs, were the subject of a Reddit post by user Kullthebarbarian. The edible seeds are said to have more caffeine than regular coffee beans and antioxidant properties. The Eye of Yelough did resemble the fruits, many players in the comments could not help but agree, noting that the real thing appeared to be dreadful.

Many Elden Ring fans appeared to believe that the Eye of Yelough was based on the guarana fruit, even though From Software never explicitly stated this. The Eye of Yelough is used to relieve pain, and the Guarana fruit is said to be excellent for boosting energy and reducing fatigue. Both of them also have health benefits. The Guarana fruit can be consumed without issue, usually in the form of juice, whereas the Eye of Yelough is known to be a dangerous intoxicant and may be fatal in high doses.

Numerous other Elden Ring fans have in the past discovered actual objects that appear to be from the game, like a huge smithing stone. For their decor and cosplay needs, some fans have also attempted to replicate weapons and other accessories.

Elden Ring has been available for almost a year, but players are still finding inventive ways to complete the game, including speedruns and the use of unusual controllers. Players may soon have a new game to spend hours on as From Software is getting ready to release Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon sometime this year.

Elden Ring is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Resident Evil 4 remake Chapter 5 gameplay footage

0
gameplay footage from Chapter 5 of the Resident Evil 4 remake

A significant portion of one of Resident Evil 4’s most infamous sections can be seen in some recent footage from the upcoming remake.

Those who are chomping at the bit to play the upcoming Resident Evil 4 remake can at least watch some brand-new Chapter 5 gameplay footage that has been making the rounds lately. Even after the Dead Space remake’s commercial success, the industry is far from done bringing back old-school horror games. Fans of video games that had an impact on horror the first time around have a lot to look forward to with the release of RE4 and Bloober’s interpretation of the iconic Silent Hill 2.

The fourth installment of Capcom’s popular survival series, Resident Evil, is widely regarded as one of the best Resident Evil games. Given the excellent reviews, it’s not surprising that so many people are eagerly anticipating the remake. Hopefully, there won’t be much longer to wait, but in the meantime, some new video has surfaced that will undoubtedly whet fans’ appetites.

The video, which was provided by Game Informer, showcases about 12 minutes of the Resident Evil 4 remake. In particular, it provides a preview of Chapter 5, which describes the scene where Leon Kennedy discovers Ashley after a number of hours. This section includes encounters with the villagers at night as well as the renowned shootout with Carlos. This new footage exhibits the much darker and moodier tone when compared to the original 2005 release, just like previous teasers and images. Anyone who has been eagerly anticipating this remake will probably enjoy what has been demonstrated in this video.

The classic sequence shown in the Game Informer clip is just one of many that fans are looking forward to in the Resident Evil 4 remake. While the influential RE game’s modern reimagining will give older fans a chance to relive the experience in a more contemporary release, it will also allow newcomers to discover what everyone loved about the original release.

It’s not just a new version of an old game, though. Resident Evil 4’s omitted enemies will reportedly be added by Capcom, along with some unexpected plot twists and side missions. In conclusion, it appears that the developer is aware of what the target audience wants, which goes beyond a current-gen remake of a classic game, even one as praised as RE4. There will undoubtedly be enough familiarity in the remake, but there will also be enough surprises to keep it feeling novel and fresh.

Resident Evil 4 releases on March 24 for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Transfer saved data on PS4 from one user to another

Transfer saved data on PS4 from one user to another

PS4 data transfer refers to the process of copying saved data (such as game progress, settings, and installed applications) from one user account on a PS4 to another user account or to an external storage device. The transferred data can then be imported to the destination user account on the same or another PS4, allowing users to move their saved data between different PS4 systems or to share it with other users. The process of transferring data on a PS4 requires the use of a USB storage device, and not all saved data may be transferable depending on the individual game or application.

How can I transfer saved data on PS4 from one user to another?

Here’s a more detailed explanation:

  1. On the PS4, log in to the source user account from which you want to transfer saved data.
  2. Go to “Settings” from the home screen, then select “Application Saved Data Management”.
  3. From there, select “Saved Data in System Storage”.
  4. Find the saved data you want to transfer and select it. You should see options to “Copy” or “Delete”.
  5. Choose “Copy” and select an external USB storage device to copy the saved data to. Make sure your USB storage device is formatted for use with the PS4.
  6. Once the copy process is complete, log out of the source user account and log in to the destination user account.
  7. Go to “Settings” -> “Application Saved Data Management” -> “Saved Data on USB Storage Device”.
  8. Select the saved data that you copied from the source user account and import it to the destination user account.

It’s important to note that not all saved data can be transferred between users. This depends on the individual game or application, so check with the game’s developer or publisher to confirm if the saved data is transferable.

Using a Desert Eagle, a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 player scores an incredible longshot

Using a Desert Eagle, a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 player scores an incredible longshot

During a Ground War match, a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 player makes a spectacular long-range kill with the Desert Eagle pistol.

During a Ground War match, a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 player scored an incredible longshot using a Desert Eagle. In Modern Warfare 2, the Ground War game mode is back and allows players to engage in massive battles to seize strategic points on the map. Invasion is a different game mode in Modern Warfare 2 that allows for 40v40 matches with 20 AI opponents on each team.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, players have access to a wide range of weapons and tools, just like in the rest of the series. Assault rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, and other weapons are available for players to select from, and each one can be fully customized using Gunsmith 2.0. One Modern Warfare 2 fan achieved an incredible longshot kill using the.50 GS pistol, despite the fact that some weapons are better suited for close-quarters combat and others for killing enemies from a distance.

IKingofredlions, a Reddit user, shared a clip from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in which they use the.50 GS pistol to dispatch an adversary who is 131.24 meters away. IKingofredlions decides to fall to the ground and fire a pistol at an opponent in the video after spotting them on a building’s roof. Before reloading the gun, the player manages to score a hit after missing the first few shots. The following two shots were also on target, with the second one killing the adversary at a stunning range of about 130 meters.

One of the top sidearms in Modern Warfare 2 is the.50 GS, also referred to as the Desert Eagle. The RPG-7 is also a useful option, depending on the circumstance, along with the Basilisk and X13 Auto pistols.

Despite the video’s impressive longshot, many comments on the post question whether such a feat is actually possible. Another says they don’t play video games for the realism aspect, while one fan points out that users have other options, like Hell Let Loose, that focus on realistic gameplay.

The current state of longshot challenges in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is also discussed by some players, who claim that users only need to be 20 meters away for a kill to count when using pistols. Another user points out that longshot challenges can be completed on any standard 6v6 map instead of Ground War, and one user blames longshot challenges for their teammates’ poor kill-death ratio in Modern Warfare 2.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Player from Call of Duty: Warzone 2 wins game without intervening

Player from Call of Duty: Warzone 2 wins game without intervening

In the trio’s Call of Duty: Warzone 2 playlist, one ridiculously lucky gamer emerges victorious without firing a single bullet.

A Call of Duty: Warzone 2 player claimed victory in a clip that was uploaded to the internet by remaining passive and letting gravity take care of the grunt work. Players in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 have access to a wide range of strategies for winning, but these strategies hardly ever involve never firing a shot.

The live-service model of Warzone 2 has kept players interested since its November 2022 release thanks to a regular release schedule of new content. Season 1 officially came to an end on February 1, and Infinity Ward has since revealed its plans for Season 2’s upcoming release. The fan-favorite Resurgence mode in Warzone 2 is returning on February 15 and will feature a brand-new, smaller-scale map. This is the most significant Season 2 update. Players who favor a quicker, more chaotic version of Call of Duty’s battle royale mode will be accommodated on Ashika Island. A new battle pass, weapons, operators, and cosmetics are also included. A number of gameplay adjustments, such as adjustments to the DMZ and the Gulag, are also included.

The final member of a trios team in Warzone 2 goes on to win the entire match in a clip uploaded by LargeCrateOfCarling to Reddit. As the gulag was about to close, LargeCrateOfCarling emerged, grabbed a helicopter, and started planning their strategy. LargeCrateOfCarling soon finds themselves in the slowly encroaching final circle of Warzone 2 after letting the other participants in the battle wipe each other out while hovering safely in the air. As the toxic gas engulfs the two remaining players, they jump from the helicopter after waiting until the last second. The other player starts shooting at LargeCrateOfCarling as he helplessly parachuted to the ground, giving the situation a grim appearance. By some amazing coincidence, the discarded helicopter crashes on the head of the player below, killing them and gifting LargeCrateOfCarling with an unforgettable victory.

Reddit commenters praised the video and made sure to tell LargeCrateOfCarling how cool they were for acting like the hero of an action movie and not looking back at the explosion. Similar victories in Warzone 2 were mentioned in other thread anecdotes, which may have surprised LargeCrateOfCarling since they had “Never seen anything like it before.” It don’t matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning, wrote another commenter in the thread named adminswant tobanme.

A game like Warzone 2 never dissapoints with its ridiculous highlights. Many players who may have abandoned the game after launch will undoubtedly return with the arrival of Ashika Island and Resurgence. There will be a lot more videos like LargeCrateOfCarling’s in the future thanks to the new map, the new crossbow weapon, and the returning player base.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
