When you use Soccer offer for the FIFA 2031 Women’s Cup, will it remain a joint offer with Mexico as planned?

FIFA announced its plans for a new annual women’s competition, the 2028 Women’s Club World Cup and the offer process for the 2031 and 2035 Women’s World Cup tournaments on Wednesday. The ads, made by the FIFA Council in its annual report, are an important step forward in the global development of women’s football.

Among the most notable developments is confirmation of formal offers to organize the 2031 and 2035 World Cup are reduced to specific regions. The 2031 hosts will be determined from CAF (Africa) countries or Concacaf regions, while hosts 2035 will be taken from CAF or UEFA (Europe). An offer of four nations (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales) of the United Kingdom has already declared its intention to offer for 2035.

In 2024, American football and Mexico announced a joint but for the host in 2027, but finally achieved the attempt to focus planning in 2031. After Wednesday’s announcement, American football published in social intention and the emotion of presenting its offer for tournament 2031, but any mention of Mexico was remarkably absent and the Football Federation of Mexico has not presented any offer in the World Cup in the World Cup.

“American football, in association with Concacaf and its members, will complete the offer process to organize the FIFA 2031 World Cup,” said the American football statement. “We are excited about the opportunity to welcome teams and fans, inspire the next generation and grow regional and globally.”

The familiar sources with the FIFA offer process have confirmed CBS Sports that there is still interest in a joint offer, although not as urgent as when the offer of 2027 was initially launched due to the current attention of the local organizing committee in the next 2026 FIFA Men World Cup.

The 2026 tournament will be a showcase of the Concacaf region, organized by the United States, Canada and the Football Federations of Mexico. The competition will return to a summer format after a change to a winter calendar for the December Cup in December 2022 that took place in Qatar. The United States previously organized the Women’s World Cup in 1999 and 2003, while Mexico has not yet been the host of the event.

The previous world cups in the United States establish new standards for assistance, audience and commercial success. The 1999 tournament, held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, was a stable moment for women’s football, attracting a record crowd of more than 90,000 fans for the final and consolidating the state of the National Women’s Team of the United States as a global power.

The president of American football, Cindy Parlow Cone, has been a vocal defender of the offer, stating that organizing the tournament would provide the opportunity to “inspire the next generation of female athletes and continue the impulse we have built in women’s football.” It is expected that USSF’s offer for the 2031 tournament will emphasize its existing infrastructure, avant -garde stages, transport networks and a base of passionate fans.

Although an offer has not yet been formally presented, American football has become a favorite in the race to organize since its intention to offer by 2027. The accumulation of the 2031 World Cup will only provide broader planning for a large -scale event. The 1931 World Cup host nation is scheduled to be decided by the 76th FIFA Congress in 2026.
