What should the Raiders do in Round 1 of 2025 DRAFT of the NFL? Classify five options for Las Vegas

It seems that the Las Vegas Raiders have two serious options with the general selection No. 6 in the NFL 2025 Draft. Two of our experts in the NFL of the NFL of CBS Sports have the Raiders that they take the second -classified field marshal league, while our other four experts have Las Vegas using the choice to select the best classified runner of the Draft.

Clearly, there is a general consensus regarding what Raiders are expected to do with the selection. But the NFL draft often develops differently from what we expect, so it is important to see what other options can have the vegas at their disposal if their best attacked plans go wrong.

A 4-13 attire in 2024, is not that Raiders do not have other needs that can be addressed with the selection. Specifically, Raiders could use some help in the receiver and in their defensive line. If players better classified in both positions somehow fall, Raiders will have an extremely difficult decision to make.

With the beginning of the draft only four weeks away, we have gathered the following classification of the five best draft perspectives of the Raiders first round. This classification was mainly based on the largest positions of Las Vegas in relation to success in 2025.

5. Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

Raiders could certainly use some help in the defensive line, which leads us to Mason Graham, the perspective of the best classified defensive line of the Draft. Graham enjoyed a race decorated in Michigan that included being appointed MVP defensive of Rose Bowl after the victory of the Wolverines over Alabama on January 1, 2024. He had a great appearance for extra waste that helped boost Michigan to victory.

Last year, Graham was a unanimous All-American of the first team that once again played some of his best games in Michigan’s biggest games. He had seven cups in Michigan’s annoying victory over the eventual national Ohio State champion.

Graham could end up being a stallion, but his position is considered one of the deepest of the draft. For that reason, in addition to the Raiders have other pressing needs, Graham is the fifth best option for silver and black.

4. Tetaira McMillan, WR, Arizona

If the Raiders want to use General Selection No. 6 in a receiver, it is likely to be Tetaira McMillan, the best CBS Sports receiver prospect. McMillan led the PAC-12 in average yards per capture as a first-year student in 2022 and walked through the conference with 1,319 yards they received in 2024.

McMillan is simply a nightmare mismatch for corners with 6 feet 5 and 212 pounds. He used his physicality for his advantage at the university, catching 26 touchdowns in three seasons and averaging 16.1 yards per capture. Apparently it also has the speed to complement its size after, according to the reports, it ran a 4.48 in the 40 -yard race during a private training.

3. Travis hinter, cb/wr, Colorado

If the giants and the Patriots (who have the third and fourth selection, respectively) pass it, it is difficult to imagine that the Raiders do not write through Travis Hunter, which won the 2024 Heisman trophy after gathering one of the most incredible individual seasons in the history of university football.

Last year, the 6 -foot hunter 1 and 185 pounds caught 96 passes for 1,258 yards 15 touchdowns while leading Big 12 at receptions and catches of TouchDown. In addition to that, Hunter chose four passes along the way to win the Chuck Bednarik award, given annually to the best defensive player of university football.

Hunter was so good in both positions in the university that it is not clear what position will order its main approach in the NFL. If the Raiders wrote, Hunter would probably focus on the receiver given their needs in that position. He would be prepared for success with former Pro Bowler, Geno Smith, serving as his first NFL field marshal.

Last year, Sanders proved to be an elite university field marshal, since he completed an absurd 74% of his passes for 4,134 yards with 37 touchdowns against only 10 interceptions. Sanders was especially good in the red zoneA very necessary feature to succeed at the next level.

He sometimes fought in Colorado when he faced more difficult pass, and should be taken into account that he did not play in a Pro -style system at the university. Sanders did not do much on the ground for his time with the buffalo.

One thing that cannot be questioned about Sanders is its hardness, a feature that will undoubtedly strive for any NFL fans base that plays in front of. Sanders is not afraid to lick it, which will serve him well in some aspects, but he could hinder him if he doesn’t throw the ball anymore.

Given his skill set, Sanders seems to be a perfect apprentice for Smith, one of the most precise quarters of this era. Smith can help Sanders when it comes to reading NFL defenses and succeed while facing pressure.

1. Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

The new Raiders chief coach, Pete Carroll, knows what a powerful race game can do for a team. Carroll, after all, won a Super Bowl and almost captured a second in Seattle with Lynch Marshawn leading the Seahawks offensive. Carroll can try to repeat the story writing Jeanty, who in 2024 came Less than 30 yards of breakup record of a single season by Barry Sanders.

In a nutshell, the 5 -foot 9 -inch Jeanty and 216 pounds shattered the defenses at the university, especially during his last season in Boise State that saw him run for 2,601 yards and 29 TouchDowns while averaging 7.0 yards for hauling. His lowest production of last year was his effort of 104 yards during the defeat of the Broncos against Penn State in the University Football playoff.

Jeanty seems like a future star that could quickly accelerate the reconstruction of the raiders. It seems to have all the tools: agility, hardness, versatility, speed and durability. Jeanty should be the selection of the Raiders in number 6 and is not even close.
