West Ham vs. Man United lineups, prediction, selection: where to watch Premier League, live stream, TV channel, odd

On Sunday, West Ham United and Manchester United take on each and every Premier League rival, with Julen Lopetegui and Erik ten Hag looking for a win at the London Stadium. The Hammers were beaten 4-1 by Tottenham Hotspur in the final hour, the Red Devils beat Brentford 2-1 before drawing 1-1 with Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce in midweek. West Ham have scored 11 goals to United’s seven, but have not had a clean sheet in 13 Premier League home games. The visitors from Ten Hag are currently unbeaten in five away games, of which four were draws.

United are seeking four consecutive EPL clean sheets on the road for the first day since 2020. Lopetegui’s hosts want to end a run of seven clean sheets in all competitions. A move against Spurs turned into a defeat and a red card for Mohammed Kudus, but West Ham won 2-0 against United in their top domestic competition in 2023 under David Moyes, which was their second consecutive home win against the Reds. Damn.

Ten Hag kept his cold hour Mourinho took advantage of the midweek Europa League draw with Christian Eriksen heading to United, who were heavily reliant on Andre Onana in goal. Before that, Ethan Pinnock gave Brentford control at Used Trafford when Matthijs de Ligt was out on the field receiving treatment, but Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund kept the build going for Ten Hag.

Here are our stories, how you can control the fit and more:

Season so far

Lopetegui’s men sit 15th in the Premier League table after the weekend’s heavy defeat, although a win of any kind would lift the Irons above United in terms of goals. The victory over Brentford is the Red Devils’ best luck that Ten Hag’s men can boast of in their last seven games with twelfth place in the EPL table leaving them six points adrift of supremacy four.

Staff information

West Ham: Kudus begins his three-match ban following his dismissal against Spurs and will sit out the Nottingham Jungle and Everton games. West Ham have played five EPL matches without the Ghana team and are unbeaten in all of them. Crysencio Summerville should replace Kudus and summer signing Niclas Fullkrug is also expected to miss out. Edson Álvarez could be in competition to replace Guido Rodríguez in midfield.

Possible West Ham XI: Areola; Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Kilman, Emerson; Alvarez; Bowen, Paqueta, Soucek, Summerville; Antonio.

United: Captain Bruno Fernandes has returned from postponement and will be able to detail later the visible change of Noussair Mazraoui in midweek. Ten Hag can expect Jonny Evans to return as Antony is now unsure of a knock. Kobbie Mainoo, Leny Yoro, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Mason Mount are already ruled out.

Conceivable United XI: Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Evans, Martínez; Eriksen, Casemiro; Rashford, Fernández, Garnacho; Hojlund.

Prediction

It looks like United should be able to claim a small victory over West Ham given the high-risk nature of the collision. Considering the Red Devils’ away strategy and the Hammers’ difficulties in keeping things tight at home, it seems one goal should probably be plethora. Select: West Ham 0, United 1.
