‘We are approaching’ – England build impulse with Belgium Win

The midfielder Walsh felt it was a “free flow” performance of the team, and could not have been a better night for her personally.

The 27 -year -old had never experienced the feeling of scoring a high -level goal for her country before Friday.

Wiegman said there was “joy” later for Walsh, and the team joked that it was his own goal because his strike took a deviation before beating Belgium goalkeeper, Nicky Evrard.

“I am really excited. He took a great deflection, but an objective is a goal,” Walsh said later.

“All girls are super happy for me, which is a really pleasant feeling. Finally I got one in the end. Some of them like to remind me how long it has been taken, but I am on the moon and it is really good to be out of the brand.

“It is up there as one of my favorite games. In general, with the performance of the team, we played a lot of attack football and it was a good night to be part.”

Walsh was not the only one to experience the delight of a first goal in England when Chelsea Beever-Jones teammate left the bank to score.

The goal of the 21 -year -old striker’s bachelor came with his fourth appearance, after having received a first call in May last year.

“I can’t really believe it. He hasn’t hit me yet. I think I was more buzzing for Keira [Walsh] If I’m honest, “said Beever-Jones.

“I played in this stadium before and scored before, so I had a good feeling when I entered.

“They proud to keep my feet on the floor and work hard and with a lot of hard work you have moments like this. I am so happy to have taken it well. It is so surreal and a dream come true.”
