What to know
The Nets and Trail Blazers are 5-5 against each other since November 2019, but not for long. The Brooklyn Nets will remain on the road on Tuesday to take on the Portland Trail Blazers at 10:00 pm ET at the Moda Center in the Rose Quarter. The Nets are expected to lose this game by six points, so we’ll see if that gives them some motivation.
The Nets put up a good fight in their overtime game against the Jazz on Sunday, but ended up with a less than desirable result. They lost 112-111 to Utah on a last-minute layup by Isaiah Collier.
Although they lost, the Nets broke the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department, as the Jazz only took down six.
Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers traveled a difficult path last season and, unfortunately for them, the road hasn’t gotten any easier so far this season. They suffered a dismal 119-98 loss to the Heat on Saturday. Portland has now earned an ‘L’ in consecutive games.
Brooklyn has been on a rough road recently, having lost eight of its last nine games, making a notable dent in its 13-26 record this season. As for Portland, their loss dropped their record to 13-25.
The Nets were unable to finish off the Trail Blazers when the teams last played in January 2024 and fell 105-103. Can the Nets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We will know very soon.
