Valve has announced that it will be selling a special white edition of the Steam Deck.
Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White will be available for sale on November 18 at 3 pm PT / 6 pm ET / 11 pm GMT.
According to Valve, the white edition will only be available in limited quantities, with “stock distributed proportionally across all regions.”
Customers will be limited to one unit per account, and once all stock has been sold, Valve “will not be manufacturing any more of this particular design.”
Aside from looks, the handheld will essentially be the same as a standard black 1TB OLED Steam Deck.
“Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White has the same specifications as the 1TB Steam Deck OLED model, but in white and gray,” says Valve. “It also comes with an exclusive white carrying case and a white microfiber cleaning cloth.”
The only other difference the white version has over the standard black version is the price. While the standard 1TB OLED Steam Deck costs $649/£569, the limited edition white version will cost $679/£599, meaning players will pay a $30/£30 premium.
Valve announced the Steam Deck OLED about a year ago, on November 9, 2023. The updated model replaced the launch version’s 7″ LCD screen with a new 7.4″ OLED, offering brighter colors and deeper blacks. dark and at the same time supports HDR.
