Ubisoft eliminates 185 jobs in an attempt to “prioritize projects and reduce costs”

Ubisoft is reducing the workforce of several European studies (and closing one completely), which has caused the loss of 185 jobs.

His Leamington study, the United Kingdom, is the most affected, and our brother site, Eurogamer, informs that all but a small number “of their 50 employees will be fired.

Ubisoft Düsseldorf, Ubisoft Stockholm and Ubisoft Reflections are also affected after a “specific restructuring” throughout the company in an attempt to “prioritize projects and reduce costs.”

“As part of our continuous efforts to prioritize projects and reduce costs that guarantee long -term stability in Ubisoft, we have announced specific restructuring in Ubisoft Düsseldorf, Ubisoft Stockholm and Ubisoft Reflections and the permanent closure of the Ubisoft Leamington site,” said a spokesman of Ubisoft. said Industriadejuegos.biz.

“Unfortunately, this should affect 185 employees in total. We are deeply grateful for their contributions and we are committed to support them during this transition.”

The series of employment cuts last year seems to continue in 2025. Only in January, we reported on the closure of Freejam, Splash Damage and Jar of Sparks.

The Swedish Global Games Company 7 (EG7) also recently began the “closure” of Toadman Interactive, which resulted in 69 job losses and 38 layoffs in Piranha Games.
