Tony Hawk has affirmed that the decision not to bring many classic songs for the next 3+4 soundtrack was his, after some fans expressed their disappointment for the revealed song list.
This week, Activision revealed the next wave of tracks for the next Remaster, and many fans rushed to point out notable absences of the original games, of people like Iron Maiden and Alien Ant Farm.
When commenting on Instagram, Tony Hawk said he personally decided to introduce a mixture of new and classic clues for Pro Skater 3+4, stating that he expected the players to enjoy discovering new music, as with the original games.
“It was my choice to choose some different songs from the same artists that appear in THPS3+4 OST,” he wrote. “I hope the discovery is half of the fun, and a great reason why these sound bands resonated first. So listen and enjoy the trip. More to come … both old and new.”
The 3+4 soundtrack is not the first theme that has caused fans intrigued: earlier this month, it was observed that Bam Margera, known for his roles in Jackass, lives the BAM and the Tony Hawk series, apparently missing the list of skaters.
However, now it seems that Margera will now be included in the next professional skater of Tony Hawk 3 + 4, after Hawk himself allegedly demanded his inclusion.
The 3 + 4 pro skater skater of Tony Hawk will be launched on July 11, 2025, although the editions of the Digital Deluxe game and more expensive collectors will offer three days of early access, as of July 8.
With the multiplatform multiplayer mode, the game will be available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC through Battle.net, Windows and Steam. It will also be released on the first day in the Ultimate Pass and PC game Pass.
