The Sims and the Sims 2 have officially relaunched, with expansions and DLC

After a week of teasing, EA has finally relaunched the Sims and the Sims 2, with almost all the previous DLCs included.

The Sims: Legacy and the Sims 2: Legacy collection are being implemented today on PC through the EA application, Epic game Store and Steam.

The Sims cost $ 19.99 and the Sims 2 costs $ 29.99, but players can buy a 25th birthday package containing both for $ 39.99, saving $ 10.

Each game also includes almost all the DLC previously released, with the only exception that is the Ikea Home Stuff DLC released for Sims 2 (presumably due to license reasons).

Both games have been updated to run on Windows 10 and 11, and have an updated rendering engine.

The original Sims will be executed in their original resolution, but the players can press ALT + ENTER to travel several pixels scale options to ensure that the game is better seen on their monitor.

The players can copy their old saved files in the new versions, and EA says that both games admit original modifications, but not all have been tested and “will depend on the creators of individual modifiers to ensure that the modifications work with the new version” of each game.

The complete DLC list included in each game is as follows:

Earlier this month, the official X.

List in the road map was an article called “Nostalgia now”, together with the dates from January 27 to 31. During the past week it has been causing a relaunch, with a retro -style website and other nostalgic messages.

The original version of the Sims has proven particularly difficult to play in the modern era because it never launched digitally, which means that players will have to find the 2000 original game album, find a disc unit for their PC and search Patches created by the user designed to execute it in today’s hardware.

Today’s announcement, then, marks the first digital launch of the Sims.
