Nintendo has announced that it has delayed the public sale of Alarm in Europe.
The company’s “interactive sound clock” was originally released in October 2024, where it was only available for purchase by Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
The plan was to release it to the public in mid-January 2025, but Nintendo has now announced that this has been delayed further.
According to Nintendo, Alarmo will remain an exclusive offer for Nintendo Switch Online members in Europe until early March.
Come March, Alarmo will be available on the My Nintendo Store in the UK and Ireland, and “at select retailers in certain countries” in Europe.

A similar delay was announced in Japan last month due to a shortage of units.
In Japan, a lottery was introduced at official Nintendo stores for potential buyers, with plans to make it available to everyone in January, but Nintendo announced that it had postponed such plans due to a shortage of inventory.
Nintendo of America has yet to announce any delays, meaning that so far only Japan and Europe appear to be affected.
Alarmo sells for $99.99 in the US and Canada, and £89.99 in the UK. In addition to playing sounds inspired by Nintendo games to wake up the user, the watch reacts to body movement by playing other sounds from the company’s games.
Users can snooze the alarm with gestures and end it by simply getting out of bed (or pressing a button if they prefer). Alarm can also keep a record of the user’s movements while sleeping.
Nintendo updated Alarm in December with a selection of Mario Kart 7 Deluxe themes, joining the themes for Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, and Ring Fit Adventure available at launch.
