XSEED Games has officially released Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana, a remastered edition of the Nihon Falcom action role-playing game first released in English in 2010. Now available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4, this enhanced version features Visual and audio improvements and new features for the definitive experience of this classic game.
The game follows Adol Christin, the adventurous red-haired hero, and his companion Dogi as they return to Dogi’s homeland, Felghana, after eight years. They find the once-prosperous land plagued by monsters, a dangerous volcano, and a tyrannical ruler. While Dogi seeks help from his former mentor, Adol stays to help the locals, uncovering deeper conspiracies tied to ancient legacies.
Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana includes many updates, such as high-definition visuals, newly recorded voice acting for Adol, and three versions of its soundtrack (Original, PC-8801, and X68000). Players can enjoy updated accessibility features, a “Turbo” mode, and the option to switch between new “Refined” character artwork and the original “Classic” designs.
The digital version costs $29.99 on the Nintendo eShop and PlayStation Store. A limited physical release of the “Refined Edition” is available for $59.99 through select retailers and the Marvelous USA online store. This edition includes the game, a soundtrack CD, an acrylic keychain/diorama set, four collectible postcards, and a graphics cleaning cloth.
Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana showcases the enduring appeal of the Ys series, offering new and returning players the chance to experience one of Falcom’s most famous games.
