There is also the small possibility that Sakurai becomes a project that has cooked in the background despite the absence of a director and only needs a guide hand through the production and postproduction processes. After all, this is how Universal Pictures announced, developed and prepared a World Jurassic movie before recruiting Gareth Edwards as director last year, one that looks completely well and ready for this summer.
In fact, Sakurai should be well adjusted to rapid rhythm productions, having directed more than 60 episodes of the Eric Andre show for Adult Swim and the hidden camera plus the comedy film with Bad Trip script (also co -starring Andre).
