After the success of Marvel Rivals, Netease is publishing another shooter that will be released this week: FragPunk. At least, it will be launched on PC, since its console launch has been delayed without a new release date.
The online shooter was revealed for the first time in the Xbox games showcase last year in June, showing its unique card mechanic that alters the game and environments with crazy effects.
FragPunk is launched on PC tomorrow, March 6, but a message from the official social networks account states that Xbox and PlayStation liberations need more time due to “unexpected technical challenges.”
“From the announcement of the game, your emotion has been really inspiring, and we know how much you have been waiting to launch Battle in Xbox and PlayStation,” says the announcement.
“However, we want to be completely transparent with you: during the process of compliance with the console, we find unexpected technical challenges in optimization and adaptation.
“Instead of hurrying the console launch and providing a potentially poor user experience, we have made the difficult decision to delay the launch of the console versions to ensure that players receive an experience comparable to those of PC.”
It is unknown when the versions of the console will now be launched.
However, the developer will compensate for players in Xbox and PlayStation providing all the rewards in advance, including coins in the game, cosmetics, experience and more once the game is out.
Any anticipated order of the console will be canceled, but those players will receive currency in the game worth $ 10 when these versions are finally launched.
“This delay was not an easy decision, but we are committed to offering the best possible experience for our players, and this additional time will allow us to completely optimize and polish the versions of the console for launch,” the statement continues.
The launch of PC of FragPunk will include more than 150 cards of fragments, 13 playable heroes (called lancers) and seven maps to fight.
FragPunk promises an alternative to Valorant, such as Riot’s shooter, is a free five against five with teams that turn to attack and defend.
I was practical with Frangpunk in Gamescom last year and I was impressed both the speed of the game and for its intriguing card system that should help you stand out from other games of the genre.
