Neil Druckmann is “really curious” about how the spectators will react when the last season of the season is released next month.
The last season of us will be broadcast in a little more than two weeks, and will resume the life of Joel and Ellie several years after the events of the first season. Together with the awards and praise, in 2023 it was reported that the first season was the most watched HBO Max show in Europe, and as such, there are some quite high hopes for the last season of us, including mine.
However, as those who have played part 2 know, there are some points of the plot that may surprise and surprise the spectators who are not familiar with the source material. So, is it nervous or scared by the reception of Naughty Dog and Showrunner Neil Druckmann for the reception, especially given some of the volatile abuse after the last part 2 of us? Well, no, it is not.
“When we are achieving it, we are so focused on doing so that I try not to think about what the reaction will be, but I am very excited and curious to see what the reaction of people who are not familiar with history and the people who are familiar with history, reviewing similarities and differences,” Druckmann told Gameinformer.
“I loved that conversation during the first season, and I am looking forward to it in the second season.”
During the same interview, Druckmann said that “he used to be more concerned with fans’ reaction,” he added that “he had experienced the worst when [Naughty Dog] I did the leaks and Covid hit the second game “, but now he has” stopped worrying “about all that.
“I’ve always operated under that, ‘I will not be worried about what the fan reaction will be. I don’t have any control over that, so I’m not going to worry about that.’
“What I have control is the elaboration of the thing that is in front of me and take a team to do that. So I want to make sure we do something that we are extremely proud, that we are very attentive to do. And then we put it in the world and the reaction does not depend on us. That depends on our fans and how they react.”
As to that Particular moment that can cause reactions (it will not spoil it here), well, Druckmann refrained from commenting whether or not to perform in the second season. He dodged the Ellie-Fhant in the room, so to speak.
“I’m not confirming or denying anything,” Druckmann said.
The second season of The Last of Us will begin next month, April 13, and will include seven episodes, with one of those “quite large” episodes. The spores have also been confirmed for the last season of us, with the spectators who promise Showrunners spectators “a different evolution” of the infection.
Earlier this week, the showrunners discussed the introduction of the new ABBY character (played in the Kaitlyn Dever program), and why it will be different from the last part of us, part 2.
