The Jackbox party games library comes to your living room through a new smart TV application

Jackbox Games, the study behind the party titles that you don’t know Jack and Fibage, is taking his game library to smart televisions.

The study is being associated with Amazon to launch a dedicated application of Jackbox games for smart televisions, allowing players to participate without a console or PC.

The application, which Jackbox says that “will also come to other platforms”, initially will be released in a beta version in “one or two intelligent television platforms” this spring, with more platforms to follow.

Initially, the application will offer a “small collection” of games that will be free to play and support with ads. Eventually, however, Jackbox plans to add all its catalog of games to the application, offering a paid subscription service (without ads, of course).

“It has always been our goal to bring these games to as many people as possible and make them as easy to play as we can,” says a study statement. “That is why we are announcing a new Jackbox application that will allow you to play Jackbox games on your smart TV and other platforms.

“How can we achieve such a technical miracle? In the same way that anyone does something in these days: the cloud! Associating with AWS Gamelift Streams allows us to quickly launch and transmit games to all types of devices, from smart televisions to web applications to … I don’t know … a clock, probably. But not. Gather around your watch for a fibbage game is super dumbo. “

Initially operating as Jellyvision Games from 1995 to 2001, then revived in 2008, the study was originally known for its you series Don’s Don’s Nnow Jack of extravagant comedy comedy games.

When the study was renamed as Jackbox Games in 2013, it launched a series of new independent games before changing its approach to the Jackbox Party Pack series, each of which contained a series of party games that can be played with devices enabled for the web (such as mobile phones) as controllers.

To date, there have been 10 Jackbox party packages and a mischievous three –game package, offering a total of 53 party games. If the Jackbox mission statement must be understood, all these games are intended to reach the Jackbox Games application by subscription.
