Rockstar has launched an updated version of Grand Theft Auto 5 for PC.
This new version of the game, which the study calls GTA 5 improved, introduces previously available features in Xbox Series X/S and PS5, in addition to modern improvements for PC, including environmental occlusion and global lighting.
Players who currently have GTA 5 on PC can be updated to the new version for free, while anyone who buys the PC game for the first time will get the improved edition along with the original Legacy version.
The latter will also remain available for existing owners, which means that any person whose PC does not meet the minimum requirements of the update system that they can still play.
PC players in the legacy and improved versions will separate, which means that those who want to play with friends must play the same edition.
The PC update includes a series of online GTA features previously exclusive for next -generation consoles, including additional vehicles and updates in Hao’s Special Works, a professional progress function, a renewed destination page and environmental animals meetings.
For the first time on PC, players can now also buy GTA+, the GTA Online Premium subscription offer.
“PC players in the newly updated version that are executed with the recommended specifications can enjoy rays characteristics only available on PC, such as environmental occlusion and global lighting, in addition to the shadows and reflections drawn by Ray that debut for the first time in the versions of PS5 and Xbox Series X/S,” said Rockstar.
“There is also support for AMD FSR and NVIDIA DLSS (with plaid generation support planned both on a future date) and the dualsense controller support with adaptive triggers.
“In addition, faster loading times using SSD and Directorage on compatible devices and configurations, improved support for higher resolutions, higher aspects and higher marks, as well as a better audio with support for Dolby Atmos and better speech, kinematics and music fidelity.”
Rockstar is currently preparing to launch Grand Theft Auto 6 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Last month, his parent company to take Two said that GTA 6 is still on the way to launch in the fall of 2025.
On Monday, Rockstar announced the acquisition of Deluxe’s development development video for a long time. The Sydney -based studio, which will be renamed Rockstar Australia, was founded by Brendan McNamara, who previously directed the escape to Sony before establishing the Studio de la Noire Bondi Studio team.
