The first trailer for Apple TV’s The Studio features Hollywood’s finest, including Martin Scorsese and Charlize Theron, telling Seth Rogen how terrible he is.

The first trailer for Seth Rogen’s Apple TV+ series The Studio is here, and it features a lot of big names telling you how horrible it is.

Okay, they’re not specifically telling Rogen that he’s horrible, but there really are some big names in this. The Studio is an upcoming 10-episode series created by Rogen and his frequent collaborator Evan Goldberg, where the actor plays the fictional Matt Remick, the new head of the non-real production company Continental Studios. “As the films struggle to stay alive and relevant, Matt and his core team of struggling executives battle their own insecurities while battling narcissistic entertainers and cowardly corporate overlords in the ever-elusive quest to make great movies,” an official logline explains.

“With their power suits masking their endless sense of panic, every party, set visit, casting decision, marketing meeting and awards show presents them with an opportunity for brilliant success or career-ending catastrophe. As someone who eat, sleep and breathe movies, it’s the job Matt has been doing his entire life, and it may very well destroy him.”

This has a very full cast, with actors like Catherine O’Hara (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice), Kathryn Hahn (Agatha All Along) joining it as part of the main cast, alongside Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) as a guest star, and Hollywood. icons like Ron Howard, Martin Scorsese and Charlize Theron playing himself, all of whom don’t seem to like Rogen’s character much (“You have no talent, you have no character,” Scorsese says at one point, showing that the aging director still has some acting skills).

It all looks pretty fun in the first trailer, and you don’t have to wait that long as it’s currently launching on Apple TV+ on March 26 next year.
