Marvel Snap was down for a while unexpectedly in the US due to the Tiktok ban, so to make up for it, the second dinner is giving everyone the free stuff.
Remember how Tiktok got banned for a bit, but came back the same day anyway? Yeah, well, it turned out that Marvel Snap had also been banned due to its publisher, Nuverse, being owned by Tiktok, the owner of Bytedance, although thankfully the card game came back online just a couple of days later. In turn, the developer’s second supper is now looking for a new publisher, so this isn’t happening again (as Tiktok could still be permanently banned later), but in the meantime, to make up for the downtime, it’s giving to all gamers – Even those of us not in the US – Some free bits.
Second Supper shared a lengthy statement on Twitter saying they “can’t thank you enough for being so patient with us during this ordeal of downtime. Your outpouring of support for all of us at Second Supper was heard and greatly appreciated.” He went on to note how many players shared that they were missing out on time-based content, so to make up for this downtime, different packs will be delivered depending on whether you’re in the United States or not, and what collection level you have.
US-based players with collection levels over 500 will get things like 5000 Season Pass XP, 6200 Collection Tokens, 5 Gold Conquest Tickets, 155 x5 Random Boosters, and much more than that, while those below gathering level 500 will get a little less overall. Non-US based players with a collection level above 500 will get even less than that, and under level 500 even less, but considering they don’t miss any game time, I’m sure they will still will be welcome. Priority for the team has moved the game back online, so there’s no date when all of these bonuses will be in your inbox, but the second dinner said they should arrive sometime next week, so stay tuned for now.
