Star Fox artist’s Omega 6 will have a physical release and collector’s editions

Omega 6: The Triangle Stars, the retro-style adventure game created by a former Nintendo artist, will be physically released to commemorate its English release.

Omega 6 is based on a manga created by former Nintendo art director Takaya Imamura, who created characters for games like F-Zero and Star Fox.

It was confirmed last month that the game, which launched in Japan last summer, will be released digitally in English for Nintendo Switch and Steam on February 28, 2025.

However, Limited Run Games has now confirmed that it will release the game physically, with three different editions available. Pre-orders for all three editions will begin on January 21.

In addition to the standard edition of the game, a Deluxe Edition will contain a copy of the game, a Deluxe Edition collector’s box designed to look like an SNES game box, an art book, a soundtrack CD (and a download code for a digital version). version), one published double-sided and seven stickers.

A special Signature Edition of the game will include the Deluxe Edition’s extras, as well as a thank you card signed by Imamura, a prologue comic, a keychain, three iron-on patches, and an additional eighth trading card based on Imamura.

An English version of Imamura’s comic, published by Dark Horse Comics, will also be released in the West.

Speaking exclusively to VGC last year, Imamura explained the similarities between Omega 6 and Star Fox.

“Story-wise, it’s different, but the style I draw, which is like ‘retro future,’ is similar,” he said. “That’s the only thing I can draw, that’s my style, so I didn’t change it! “I always wanted to draw manga in this style, so I applied it from my previous games.”

Imamura left Nintendo in 2021 after three decades, having worked on titles such as F-Zero, Star Fox and numerous Zelda games, including A Link to the Past and Majora’s Mask.
