Slitterhead writer Keiichiro Toyama says he and the Bokeh Sport Studio team are committed to “originality,” though that comes at the price of a sport being “a little rough around the edges.”
Toyama, who created Gravity Hasten, Tranquil Hill, and the terrifying Siren form, hasn’t excused a pristine game since 2008’s Siren: Blood Siren, making this time’s Slitterhead setup particularly exciting for horror lovers.
In a conversation with GameRant, Toyama highlighted that he has always strived to ensure that his games feel unused and unique above all else.
“Since the first Silent Hill, we’ve maintained a commitment to freshness and originality, even if that means being a little rough around the edges,” Toyama said.
“That attitude has remained constant throughout my works and in Slitterhead.”
A bit of what, precisely, Toyama thinks is “harsh” about Slitterhead’s residue being noticed, but fortunately, we don’t have to wait long: the long-awaited horror move is closer this time, coming to PC at via Steam and Epic Games Pack, PlayStation 4, PS5 and Xbox Line X/S on November 8, 2024.
Slitterhead was first announced in 2021. We first got a look at it last summer, when a developer diary revealed pristine information about its inaugural name, including a sneaky look at one of the game’s biggest enemies. skills and – amazement! – the ability to play like a dog, something that was also repeated in images leaked in June.
