Silent Hill F has not rejected the classification in Australia, as confirmed by the country’s classification board.
In a statement provided to the Stevivor independent games site, the entry of Silent Hill F published on March 14, 2025 has been eliminated since then.
“Silent Hill F is currently classified as ‘rejected classification’ in Australia,” said the Australian Classification Board.
“The entry into the national classification database has been eliminated. A classification decision will be published in the national classification database before the game launch.”
Stevivor points out that this entry may be due to an error with a self -report tool used by the ACB. Gamesindustry.biz He has contacted ACB for greater clarification.
As Ign explained, this tool is administered by the International AGE qualification coalition, “which is a classification system designed for mobile games and digitally delivered.”
The IARC tool requires that developers complete an online questionnaire about the game, then the tool automatically provides a qualification for the participating territories. According to IGN, this qualification is published “automatically” in the National Classification Database of ACB.
Earlier this month, Konami launched a new film trailer for Silent Hill F. The game has been qualified since then 18+ in Japan, which makes it the first franchise title to receive this qualification.
Last year, Hunter X Hunter Nen X Impact was rejected by ACB due to “implicit sexual violence.”
