Several classic Call of Duty titles appear on the Microsoft PC Store, raising hopes for Game Pass

Several classic Call of Duty titles have been added to Microsoft’s PC store, raising hopes of an imminent addition to game Pass.

Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and Call of Duty: United Offensive have been added to the Microsoft PC Store for purchase, as they were previously unavailable on the platform.

gaming industry news reporter Knoebel posted on X that the games may have been added before their inclusion in game Pass.

This has been the case with previous legacy PC titles that were released long before the current version of Microsoft’s PC Store.

Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare are currently playable on Xbox Series consoles via backwards compatibility. Call of Duty: United Offensive was never released for console.

The latest entry in Activision’s shooter series launched on October 25 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC. Notably, it was also the first Call of Duty available on game Pass from day one.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella commented on the game‘s early performance during the company’s first-quarter earnings call earlier this year.

“[The] “The launch of Black Ops 6 was the biggest Call of Duty launch to date, setting a record for day one players as well as game Pass subscriber additions on launch day,” he said.

“And unit sales on PlayStation and Steam are also up more than 60% year over year. “This speaks to our strategy of reaching gamers where they are, allowing them to play more games on the screens they spend their time on.”
