The Seattle Seahawks are arriving at the return seasons, where they were sitting at home during the NFL playoffs.
After surprisingly they reached the postseason in the first year of the era after Russell Wilson when 9-8 in the first season of Geno Smith as a starter, Seattle really maintained and even improved his record by going 9-8 in 2023 and Then 10-7 in 2024, but still remained outside looking in both years.
To return to the playoffs, the general manager of the Seahawks, John Schneider, knows that he needs to improve the list.
“We know exactly what our deficiencies are,” Schneider said during an appearance on the radio, through the NFL Media. “We can all see it, right? And we have a plan to address everything.”
The first thing Schneider must address is the offensive line, which has been an important problem in the last two years. Smith has been constantly under strong pressure and Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet runner’s duo has been asked too often to do something from nothing.
But to address that deficiency, Seahawks may need to make some changes in the way they assign resources. They wrote a couple of tacle to reproduce the offensive line a few years ago, but Charles Cross has been an average headline and Abraham Lucas has not been in the field with sufficient frequency. Meanwhile, Seahawks have not invested so much inside offensive. That probably needs to change.
Seattle could also use help in the defensive front seven after fighting to stop the race despite the presence of Likeleonard Williams players, who possibly had the best season of his career in 2024. Chief coach Mike Macdonald could generate a solid pass Despite the lack of a truly dominant passes corridor, and things could be easier in other places if the Seahawks add an advantage talent to the mixture.
Whatever the case, it is clear that there are several areas that Schneider could refer to when he says he knows what the team’s deficiencies are. Obviously, we still don’t know how it plans to address them, but that will be clear soon.
