The US National Team of the US will face Brazil in April for a couple of friendlies after losing the 2025 Shebelieves Cup in February. The Manager Emma Hayes has named a list of 24 players and two training camp players, for the next games while the team seeks to return to the victory column. Hayes will appoint 23 players for each of the game’s day lists.
“This list has the Olympics who return, less experienced players who continue to try to prove their worth, some players without limits and some players who have seen and done everything. The combination of players along with two games against a dynamic team in Brazil that we saw for the last time in the gold medals game means that this event will be very fun,” said Hayes.
“All players know that they have to win each place in the list, each starting place and every minute they get as a finalist from the bank. Work with players who fight for the consistency in elite performance, so they can continue receiving calls and continue to excel at this level, it is an exciting process and one that continues with these two games.”
The striker Trinity Rodman returns to the list for the first time since he won the Olympic gold medal at the Paris Games. His last game for the USWNT was against Brazil during the Olympic final. Rodman is one of the many players with the list with ties with California. The USWNT will play at the Sofi stadium on April 5, just 60 miles from its hometown of Laguna Niguel, California. Rodman previously lost the last camps, driving a back injury during his time outside, and recently returned to Pitch with an appearance as a submarine for Washington Spirit on Saturday.
Including Rodman, the April list presents 10 players who played during the 2024 and 19 of the 23 current players who played in the SHEBELIEVES 2025. The spring series will also welcome the returns of striker Ashley Hatch and defender Alana Cook.
Hatch was part of the January 2025 camp, although there were no games due to the winter event that takes place outside an official FIFA window, the last time it appeared for the USWNT against China PR in December 2023. Cook joins the list after a successful period with the current of the city of Kansas, it was part of the FIFA World Cup list 2023, and return during the first half since October 2023.
Together with some family faces, Hayes also appointed two camping players, forward Mia Fishel (Chelsea FC) and
Angelina Anderson goalkeeper (Angel City FC).
