It seems that Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra could arrive just in time for the holiday season. During a recent interview, voice actor Khary Payton, who plays Black Panther in the game, provided information on the title potential launch window.
Speaking to The Direct at Multicon in Los Angeles, Payton mentioned that although the team “continues to work” in the project, they currently expect the game to launch around Christmas. This statement provides the first indication of a specific launch period, since the game was previously confirmed for a general launch of 2025.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is an next Action-Aventura title developed by Skydance New Media and published by Plaion. Located in Paris occupied by the Nazi during World War II, the game follows an uncomfortable alliance between Captain America (Steve Rogers) and Black Panther (Azzuri, King of Wakanda) while trying to avoid the emergence of the infamous Hydra organization. The game is inspired by the Captain America/Black Panther 2010: Flags of Our Fathers Comic Series.
Announced for the first time in October 2021, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is the debut project by Skydance New Media, a study led by the veteran of the Amy Hennig industry. The game also presents Julian Beak as a producer and Marc Bernardin as a coguionist with Hennig.
Although an official confirmation of Skydance or Marvel Games has not yet been made, Payton’s comments suggest that players can see the launch of the game towards the end of 2025. With the development still ongoing, fans will probably receive more updates as the year progresses.
