Ranji Trophy – Ajinkya Rahane in its fall on the test side, and KKR’s captaincy

Continuing with its splendid form in the domestic cryket this season, the captain of Mumbai, Ajinkya Rahane, reached a 108 winner of the match in the quarterfinals of the Ranji trophy against Haryana to establish the comfortable entry of his team in the semifinals. His returns in the red ball cryket have been a solid monitoring of his performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMMA) T20 competition, where he was the best tournament corridor.

But Rahane, 36, put aside directly by responding to his desire to return to the national side, instead of choosing to “leave the selection issue to the selectors.” However, he felt that he had bathed well enough in the final of the World Testing Championship (WTC) against Australia in June 2023, when he had scored for India with 89 in the first tickets and followed him with 46 in the second. On the tour of the Western Indies that followed, Rahane fell for 3 and 8 in the two entrances he hit, and has not been chosen for India since then.

“I’m not thinking about the future at all,” Rahane said after Mumbai beat Haryana in Eden Gardens. “But I know I’m hitting well. I had a good performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. This Ranji trophies season is also going well. I beat in the final of the World Test Test championship in 2023 too. Lead.

Rahane, however, said that his motivation has not fallen, and that he remains as hungry as ever for careers.

“In all this, I feel that I have a lot of Crick in me,” he said. “That is why I am playing the domestic cricket in a consistent way. I only have one goal at this time, and it is to play the Crick with a positive mentality, and whatever happens after that, it happens.”

This season, as Captain of Mumbai, Rahane has scored 437 races at an average of 39.72 in the Ranji trophy. In the SMMA, he hit 469 races at 58.62 with an attack rate of almost 165, which included three scores in the 90s.

“The domestic cricket has given me everything,” he said. “I still have that Jazba (Passion) Within me. Before any game, I still have that desire and hunger I possessed before. I don’t know about the future, but I know I’m far from having finished. That is why I have been 100% in Domestic cricket. ”

‘You are not informed about KKR Captaincy’

After the Ranji trophy ends, Rahane will join with Knight Riders (KKR) Kolkata as his highest Indian Crick player. With Shreyas Iyer he went to Punjab Kings and without a highly visible choice of captaincy, Rahane is still a candidate to use the bracelet. However, the former captain of the Rajasthan Royals has had no conversation with the KKR administration about it.

“You have not talked about KKR’s captaincy with me at all. If you had spoken, you, journalists, would have known and you would have been the ones who informed me,” Rahane said jokingly. “Until then, I will not bother to check my phone.”

But he would not move away from the opportunity, if they presented it.

“I had to see many different challenges,” Rahane said. “I have captained before, and I have found myself in a variety of situations over the years. I know how to handle any situation in front of me. That’s why I’m always ready for whatever I throw. That is, I don’t have I have news or no call. [laughs]”
