A quick heads up for those looking to dive into Infinity Nikki at launch: if you want to preload the game on PS5 before launch, you’ll need to pay for an early access package.
As you can see in the screenshot below, Infinity Nikki is currently on the PlayStation Store for £7.99, and this is its only listing on the store despite it being a free-to-play game. So, yes, once again, this means that there is no way to preload the game on the Sony console unless you buy the pre-order package from the store (at least for now). This package also comes with some extras for your money.
Infinity Nikki isn’t the only game that may trip up some early adopters. This is the same tactic previously employed by the Zenless Zone Zero team. Our Lottie told me that she accidentally paid for the game in an attempt to pre-load it before launch. Learn from your mistakes.
Infinity Nikki is coming to Android, iPhone, PC and PlayStation 5 tomorrow, December 5. This latest entry in the cute costume series features Nintendo veteran Kentaro Tominaga, who worked for 20 years at the Mario maker and served as game designer on Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

“I hope Infinity Nikki manages to find an audience, because if it becomes the killer in Genshin Impact, I know it has the potential to be, well… I’m excited to see what kind of game Infinity Nikki could become. killer in others four years or so.”
