PS5’s Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake is still in development, studio confirms

PS5 Star Wars: The Old Republic Remake Knights are still under development, the developer Knowledge Interactive has reiterated.

Since it was announced in September 2021 as a PS5 Chronamed exclusive console, nothing has been seen from Kotor’s remake, and there have been contradictory reports about whether it is still in active development.

It was confirmed that the studies owned by Adbrar Aspyr and Knowledge Interactive worked in the game in May 2022, and then it was stated that Space Marine developer had assumed the development of the remake. Knowing separated from adbracer last year.

After the statements that Kotor’s remake development had stopped, the CEO of Knowledge, Matthew Karch, told Press that the game was “alive and well” last April.

Now, after another year of silence around the project, Karcch has reiterated again that work is being done on the Star Wars game. Speaking to the game file, the executive said that Kotor is still under development, but said he could not say more.

Then, a public relations representative explained that knowing wants to allow the owner of Star Wars, Disney, to take the lead when talking about games linked to the characters of that company.

This week, the director of Operations of Knowledge, Tim Willits, also suggested on the social networks that Kotor was still working.

“Knowing Interactive is one of the world’s largest independent developers,” he wrote. “We are working on numerous games in many different genres. Everything we have talked about is still in development. We will share information about the next games when we have something great to share. ”

Released in 2003, Knights of the Old Republic is a biore biore role that tells a Jedi story against Sith that is about 4,000 years before the rise of the galactic empire that appears in the 1977 Star Wars movie.

Obsidian created a sequel, The Sith Lords, in 2004 and there has not been a main gentleman of the Old Republic game in the 20 years since then (unless you count the MMO 2011 of EA the former Republic).
