Sony is launching a special limited editing controller based on the last of us.
The controller will be launched on April 10, to celebrate the launch of The Last of Us Part II remastered on PC, and the second season of The Last of Us in HBO, both scheduled for April.
According to Sony, the limited editing controller “presents bright trophy icons printed on the entire surface that calls back to key moments, characters and events of the last part I and the last part of us part II”.
Advance orders for the controller will begin on March 14 on the PlayStation Direct website (in countries that have one), as well as participating retailers, and will cost $ 84.99 / € 84.99 / £ 74.99.
The direct advance orders of PlayStation will begin at 7 am PT in the United States, and the 10 am local time in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
“We were excited about the opportunity to commemorate the last franchise of us in a controller that fans and our own team would love,” a joint statement by Naughty Dog Head of Studio Neil Druckmann and graphic designer Mehan Mehran read in the PlayStation blog.
“We wanted to make sure that both deliveries of the last of us are represented, through trophy icons printed in black brightness through the controller body. Among the trophies, three particular images will immediately stand out to Tlou fans: the Firefly, the moth and the wolf.
“The players will recognize the iconic spray painted logo of the Fireglies that originated in part I, while the moth and the wolf represent the intertwined lives and the duality between Ellie and Abby in part II.”
The last part of the USA. Remasterized is arriving at PC through Steam and the Epic game Store on April 3. It was originally stated that the game would require a PSN account to play, but Sony announced at the end of January that this policy was changing in the future.
Instead, PC players no longer need to have a PSN account to play Sony’s first part, but having one will unlock extras in the game. In the last part of us, part II remastered, log in with a PSN account gives the player 50 points to activate bonus characteristics, and also unlocks Jordan’s jacket of the next intergalactic game: the prophet heretic as an attire for Ellie.
