According to the reports, Blizzard is considering dropping the “2” of his first -person shooter sequel based on squad, Overwatch 2.
A filtration that aims to share details of the 16th season of the shooter not only gives us an early look at what comes in the new season, as well as a collaboration of Gundam, but also states that Overwatch 2 skins will be renamed “Valouous”, and Overwatch 1 Skins as “classic”, which leads some players to believe that Blizzard can be about to withdraw the name of the sequence.
The Twitter User Skorah, who shared the leaked images, said: “Skin names changed. Overwatch 1 -> Classic. Overwatch 2 -> Valouous.
“Say goodbye to ‘Overwatch 2’, I suppose. It seems that they are dropping the ‘2’. This suggests that the name of Overwatch 2 can be removed.”
The escape is accompanied by a handful of images that supposedly represent the main S16 screen of Overwatch 2, Juno Mythic, new mythical aspects and reveal an upcoming collaboration with Gundam.
As with most leaks, for now, all we can do is attribute this to a rumor until Activision Blizzard confirms in one way or another. However, anyway, once again, players talk about whether live service games such as Overwatch or Destiny should continue to evolve instead of developing independent “sequelae”.
We have communicated with Activision to comment and we will update how/when we receive backward.
Last month we knew that Blizzard is reimplementing the booty boxes in Overwatch 2 just over two years after the team removed them from Overwatch.
Blizzard detailed his plans for what the study calls “one of the most important years of Overwatch so far”, including a brief look at season 15 of Overwatch 2, which will debut at the end of this month, on February 18. It is this season that will see that those mentioned loot boxes make their return to the Heroes shooter.
