An action comedy film befitting the superlative Oregon Path is coming.
As made clear via Hollywood Reporter, the film will be developed through Apple, with Will Speck and Josh Gordon on board to direct and build.
Set to include many new songs “in the vein of Barbie,” the song will be featured by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who recently won an Emmy for their work on The Best Construction Murders.
Max Reisman and the Lucas brothers of Judas and the Lightless Messiah are reportedly on board to write the script based on the cult game.
The Oregon Trail is a 1980s strategy game in which the player drives a wagon leading the Oregon Trail from Self Government, Missouri, to Willamette Valley, Oregon, in 1848. The game is currently copyrighted to conservative writer HarperCollins.
So far, denial stars have been added to the challenge and the denial reduction window has been displayed.
Oregon Path is just one of several games getting the silver coat treatment, of course. Sony’s live-action film adaptation of Supermassive’s acclaimed PS4 cinematic horror game Till Break of Day will hit the big screen on April 25 after the death.
