The regular NWSL 2025 season arrives and my power ranking is back. We are officially three weeks after the season, and the League is taking a brief pause for the international window, so the qualifications this week will appear until NWSL returns.
There are some changes in me Rankings of week two Because the most important question of the season can have an early answer. Who will rival Orlando for a first place this year? The first signals are in tendency towards the current Kansas City.
I did not expect that there was much change in the first four of my classifications so early, but it is good to see that even the elite squads of the league are doing interesting things. Washington Spirit is still top -level, but Orlando and Kansas City will make things to jump difficult, and things could really start changing for Gotham after losing tender Davidson due to a knee injury that has also eliminated her from the Uswnt April list.
The medium of the pack is firm with clubs that are still establishing their ideal entrants and ironing tactics, while the lower half of the classifications have some new additions among some family faces.
There is a little break for teams try to restore long term. Do not miss any action, since fans can see selected matches of the regular NWSL season in CBS, CBS Sports Network, Paramount+and CBS Sports Golazo Network.
Now, it’s time for our ranking of week three:
2025 NWSL power ranking
1. |
Kansas City current |
+1 |
I’ve seen enough. The current is entering games and dominating in each phase. They are crushing him against the playoffs and remembering the suitors to do if they want to reach the level that Kansas City has established for the League. |
2. |
Orlando pride |
-1 |
There are no goals for Barbra Banda in two weeks and its defensive midfielder as a score threat is only a positive side when its MVP candidate is also on the score sheet. Still as elite as ever, and will continue to be a giant of the league even after its ranking. |
3. |
Washington spirit |
– |
Trinity Rodman is back in limited minutes and Ashley Hatch is on the plate, but it is the background that is the superstars on DC this week. A lot of chemistry the elaboration between Bernal Rebecal, Tara McKeown, Esme Morgan and Casey Krueger. |
4. |
NJ/NY GOTHAM FC |
-– |
Grittyness will only keep this team in the four higher classifications for so long. I need to use rest to handle some more injuries if you want to get a victory at any time in the early stretch of the season. |
5. |
Houston Dash |
+1 |
The board has hindered things for playoffs at the beginning of this season, and continues to rise in the ranking, which presents a new question. Are they a dark horse or a sleeping giant? |
6. |
Seattle Reign FC |
-1 |
He fought to generate significant possession or create opportunities in the game. With persistent injuries to the key veterans, I want to see that the coaching staff trusts more in their rapid banking players. |
7. |
North Carolina courage |
-1 |
A game there for the take and they simply could not. Courage still has trouble finding that final victory despite its efforts, and maybe some time with the national team for Jaedyn Shaw will help start things. |
8. |
Angel City FC |
+3 |
Welcome to the upper half of the Angel City ranking. The massive efforts of Alyssa and Gisele Thompson, Savy King, Kennedy Fuller and Riley Tiernan helped get them here, so we hope that interim manager Sam Laity continues to play the “children.” |
9. |
San Diego Wave FC |
+1 |
He took the game to Orlando, and despite a loss, you can see the construction of cohesion between new acquisitions and veterans of the club. The center of the field is connective, and the wave may have finally found the answers in Kenza Dali and Gia Correly. |
10. |
Utah reais |
-2 |
Utaah looks more and more like a team that benefited from a training coup mid -season last year than a real dark horse. They need a fast restart and rest comes at a good time for the coaching staff to make adjustments as soon as possible. |
11. |
FC Bay |
-2 |
He could not take advantage of the opportunities they generated and make a statement against a first four club. The ideas are there, but the execution is not, and eventually, the rising equipment will improve them if adjustments are not made. |
12. |
Racing Louisville FC |
– |
Nothing like taking the opportunity in front of you and Lousiville did exactly that this week. Against the worst team of the League. I need to see more to climb the ranking. |
13. |
Portland Thorns FC |
– |
A massive performance by goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold to ensure a result. A penalty to keep things available and the questionable selection of shots, keep thorns in search of any rate of impulse. |
14. |
Chicago Stars FC |
– |
Sometimes, when you face another team with difficulties, there may be the possibility of changing the rhythm, but not if you are the stars apparently. Cloudy with the possibility of last place in the ranking. |
