Nintendo Details Plan to meet Switch 2 demand

Nintendo has shared more details about his plans to meet customer demand for Nintendo Switch 2.

In a recent call to the questions and answers, the president of Nintendo, Shugaro Furukawa, told investors that the initial demand would be based on Nintendo Direct’s response on April 2, which would provide a “closer look” to Switch 2 .

It will also analyze its next practical events for consumers for guidance, which begin worldwide on April 4.

“From now on, we are taking the risk and proceeding with production to meet the greatest possible demand,” Furukawa said. “As it was true with the switch, we believe that it will not be easy to quickly increase production capacity, so, according to our previous experience, we are making preparations to answer as quickly as possible.”

Last July, Furukawa said the company would fight the resellers by providing sufficient hardware so that retailers meet consumers’ demand.

In another part of the earning call, the president of Nintendo discussed how the company would balance the titles for Switch and Switch 2.

When asked if consumers can expect new titles released for the switch or if it will depend on the perennial leaf titles in the future, Furukawa pointed out the 2025 launch list, including Pokémon’s legends: Za and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond As available on switch.

“Since many people are playing switch, if we can develop attractive software, we would like to continue launching new titles,” he said. “On the other hand, exclusive games are crucial when launching a new hardware.

“With this in mind, we will consider several forms of switch and switch 2 to encourage as many consumers as possible to enjoy our games.”
