Neymar agrees with Santos’s performance after finishing the Saudi contract


Neymar has agreed to sign for his former Santos team in Brazil, saying “it seems that I am going back in time.”

The 32 -year -old record scorer is expected to sign a short -term agreement in the club where his career began.

The striker already canceled his contract in the Saudi Pro League al-Hilal team for mutual consent, ending a spell affected by the injuries with the club for whom he played only seven times after joining an agreement of £ 77.6 million in August 2023 .

In a social networks video on Thursday, he said: “I can’t keep it until tomorrow, I will sign the contract in Santos.

“I have been wishing that this moment come true for a long time.

“More than 12 years have passed since I left, but it seems that it was yesterday.

“My feelings for the club and fans have never changed.”

Major League Soccer (MLS) Club Chicago Fire tried to take Neymar to the United States, but rejected them in favor of returning to Santos.

Neymar remains the most expensive footballer in the world after his transfer from £ 200 million to Paris St-Germain in 2017.

He arrived at the famous youth system in Santos, where he scored 136 goals in 225 games, before a high profile transfer to Barcelona in 2013.

He made 186 appearances in four seasons in Spain, winning two titles of the League, the Champions League and the Club World Cup before his world record to PSG as a 25 -year -old boy.

In Paris he won five titles of the League before his transfer to Saudi Arabia.

Shortly after the movement, he surpassed Pelé to become the top scorer of all Brazil’s time with 78 goals, but has not played for his country since his initial knee injury in 2023.
