The National Museum of Video Games has presented a new list of trusts that will join the Board of its governing beneficial organization, the BGI.
The nine trusts will join the Board in two phases. The first occurred in March 2025, while the second will join in November 2025.
These additions will help “reinforce the governance” of the museum and help achieve their ongoing ambitions and objectives.
Trusts have experience in industry sectors, including games development, cultural institutions, brand management and technological innovation.
NVM, based in Sheffield, aims to expand its profile with the knowledge of its new trusts and “strengthen the way in which its mission highlights the culture of video games, interfaces with the public and the sector in general.”
The new trust are:
- David Barrie, founder and CEO of game Academy
- Joe Chetcuti, creative director of the Creative Assembly
- Emma Cooper, knowledge transfer manager of the creative industries in Innovate UK
- Natalie Kane, digital design curator at the V&A
- Nick Poole, Executive Director of UKIE
The next phase of dates includes:
- Brian Baglow, founder of Scottish Games Week
- John Booth, senior director of Sony Interactive Entertainment
- Emily Britt, Senior Communications Manager at Sharkmob
- Jess Gaskell, director of PMO in Sumo Digital
“We are honored to welcome our new trusts to the Board,” said the president of the NVM trustee, Claire Boissiere. “His extensive experience will be invaluable as we embarked on a new exciting chapter on the NVM trip, expanding our national presence and advancing our mission. We are excited to see how their ideas and ideas will help shape the future.
