Monster Hunter Wilds has an NPC error that breaks progress

Capcom is “investigating” a problem that prevents progress for some players in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Players report that in the main mission: Chapter 5-2, a world overturned, a key NPC is not generating where they should essentially blocking all the progress of the campaign.

Eurogamer’s Monster Hunter Wilds Review.

“Hunters, we are currently investigating the following theme,” said the editor/developer on social networks.

“There may be cases in which an NPC does not appear, disabled the progression of history in the main mission: Chapter 5-2, a world gets upside down. We are currently working on these issues and we will provide more updates when we have them.”

So far, there is no confirmation about when this can be addressed, but Capcom has been questioning a mole mold quite quickly over the weekend. For example, a Hot Fix repair patch that solves problems with Smithy and “Grill A A Baring” is already live, so be sure to apply any patch before playing to make sure you are using the latest version.

Monster Hunter Wilds has already broken the barrier of concurrent players of 1m in Steam and if you are one of the many players who like to return to the characters editor because you have given your hunter a beer intestine, you can appreciate knowing that you can modify your character once for free, but any additional substantive change to your gender or body form requires before Capcom makes you make some money in cash.

In the review of Eurogamer Monster Hunter Wilds, our Matt granted it 4/5, saying: “The savages are still an exciting, so refined job, so alive, so vegically, chaotically cheerful when everything joins that it feels like the definitive culmination of everything that the series has been working in the last two decades.

“And if the legacy of Monster Hunter continues of generous support after the launch, where the series has traditionally felt the most free to get dumb and enjoy its most sadistic trends, it will be fascinating to see how this new baseline is developed for the series.”
