Capcom has responded to the performance problems faced by Monster Hunter Wilds PC players.
Monster Hunter Wilds launched on Friday, and almost as soon as the PC version was in the hands of the public, the players reported problems with optimization, performance and more. The game that has received praise from fans outside the performance problems, reached almost 1 million concurrent Steam players on the night of launch.
Now, Capcom has responded to problems and has provided some suggestions to fans about how to solve their performance problems.
A publication on the state of Monster Hunder, the official support account of the franchise, says: “If you are experiencing an initial problem with Monster Hunter Wilds in Steam, try to update your graphics controller, turn off the compatibility mode and then readjust its configuration.”

In the publication linked on the Monster Hinter support website, Capcom has suggested several steps that could solve the problems, including the update of the controllers, add the folder and the game files to the list of antivirus exceptions of a player, and more.
“If you still experience problems, you also try the problem solving steps in the official problem solving thread and problems of Monster Hunter Wilds published on the Steam community page, since they contain more detailed and additional steps that can help solve your problem.”
The Monster Hunder Wilds Five Star VGC review, which was played on PS5 Pro, calls it “a return of the victory for the Golden Age of Capcom”, concluding: “Monster Hunter Wilds is safe, bold and one of the best Monster Hunter games of all time, thanks to its ability to stand on the giant shoulders of the worlds and improve in virtually all the ways.”
