Modern Warfare 3 Reviving the Classics: Modern Warfare 2 Maps Return in Style.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 new information has been released ahead of the game’s official reveal on Thursday. The game might feature remastered versions of all 16 multiplayer maps included with Modern Warfare 2 (2009) at launch, as well as the return of Zombies mode.
According to CharlieIntel and ModerWarzone, Activision is teasing the multiplayer maps and Zombies mode through a mobile phone-based marketing platform.

This is the kind of world where we can immediately return to the unforgettable multiplayer maps that made Modern Warfare 2 a true classic. There are many rumors circulating among gamers that Modern Warfare 3 will feature remastered versions of each of the 16 multiplayer maps from its 2009 predecessor. If true, it means that the multiplayer maps Afghan, Derail, Estate, Favela, Highrise, Invasion, Karachi, Quarry, Rundown, Rust, Scrapyard, Skidrow, Sub Base, Terminal, Underpass, and Wasteland will be included in Modern Warfare 3.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered was made available by Activision in 2020. Because more vintage maps were going to be added to later games in the series, it was stated at the time that the game didn’t have a multiplayer mode.

The release of all or nearly all of the Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps this year, perhaps as DLC for Modern Warfare 2 in 2022, was also rumored to be planned by Activision as of last October.
Activision is upping the level of the game of teasing. They’ve cooked up a mobile phone-based marketing campaign to drop hints about the multiplayer maps and the Zombies mode. It’s like a digital treasure hunt, and we’re all in on the action.
According to the publication’s sources, Modern Warfare 2’s maps and modes would be included in the new game. Activision last week made the official announcement of Modern Warfare 3 after several leaks. On November 10, 2023, it will be made available for PCs, PlayStation consoles, and Xbox games.
The publisher wants to reveal the game at the Call of Duty: Warzone event starting at 10.30 a.m. PT/1.30 p.m. ET/6.30 p.m. BST/7.30 p.m. CEST on August 17. Activision recently provided information on how players can transfer most of their accumulated Modern Warfare 2 content to Modern Warfare 3. That detour? It led straight to the birth of Modern Warfare 3.
Mark your calendars for November 10, 2023, because that’s when Modern Warfare 3 is set to unleash its gaming glory.
