McDonald’s has announced that his next McFlurry inspired by Minecraft will go on sale early for some customers.
As of today, customers with the McDonald’s application can get the new Apple Cake McFlurry. The item will be on sale everywhere from Wednesday.
“The apple cake mcflurry consists of a soft milk ice cream rotated with apple and pieces of cake and finished with a sour apple sauce,” according to a press release.
The promotion, together with Happy Meal Toys and other promotional items, is scheduled to celebrate the Live Action Minecraft movie, starring Jack Black.
The Minecraft film will be released on April 2, 2025, internationally and April 4 in the United States. Directed by Jared HESS, who previously directed Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre, the main stars of the film are Black and Jason Momoa.
Emma Myers (Wednesday), Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple), Sebastian Eugene Hansen (Just Mercy) and Jennifer Coolidge (The White Lotus), among others.
Last year it was announced that Merlin Entertainments, the group behind Alton Towers, Peppa Pig World, Madame Tussauds and Legoland, has acquired the global rights of the Minecraft theme park.
As part of the agreement, two attractions are planned in the United Kingdom and the United States in 2026 and 2027, respectively. These first attractions will not be large -scale Minecraft thematic parks, but will be included as thematic areas in existing Merlin locations.
An interactive experience of Minecraft will open in London next month.
