Isaiah Bond says that Xavier Worthy’s record time will break in Combine

Indianapolis-Si Isaiah Bond is correct, the record of 40 yards of Xavier Worthy at the NFL Scouting Combine will last only one season, but it will remain with Texas.

Last year, Worthy, a former Longhorn, ran a 40 of 4.21 seconds and was finally a first round of the Kansas City bosses. Bond, who played last season in Texas after starting at Alabama, will run on Saturday.

“I’m going to break the record tomorrow, sure,” Bond said on Friday. “I anticipate running 4.20 or possibly, if I feel great, I could run 4.1”.

Bond said his best moment in training has been 4.23 before the harvester.

“I’ve been running all my life,” Bond said. “I have been one of the fastest whole life, so I’m going out, and when the practice meets the preparation, greatness is achieved. So I will trust my training and make a show.”

Bond registered more than 22 MPH in a victory against UTSA last season. The 2024 season ended with 34 trapped for 540 yards and five touchdowns. It is the open receiver No. 10 in the Draft ranking of Mel Kiper Jr.

It may not be the only receiver that seeks to break the Worthy record.

“If you flash,” said Tez Johnson from Oregon, “I could miss me.”
