Tetris Ceasefully, the untouched interactive documentary compilation from Atari 50 developer Virtual Eclipse, is coming to PC and consoles on November 12.

Tetris Forever is the third entry in Virtual Eclipse’s acclaimed Gold Master Line, following 2023’s Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Tale and 2023’s The Making of Karateka, and aims to tell the “true story of Tetris” as the popular puzzle game. of brands. its fortieth annual edition.

As usual with the Gold Master Line, it will do so through a combination of playable games, “over 90 minutes” of updated documentary footage, plus archival material, including videos, footage and paintings. all chart the beginning and evolution of Tetris across 5 interactive timelines.

As for gameplay, Tetris always includes “more than 15” single-player and multiplayer titles, some of which were never officially available outside of Japan before. This includes an “authentic recreation” of the first real version of Tetris (which was developed on a 60-computer Soviet Electronika device by Alexey Pajitnov in 1984), plus Virtual Eclipse’s personal Tetris Age Warp, a new four-player game.
