Look, we all know that E3 is dead. Well, at least the event we met as E3 is dead: there is something called Iicon that is paid with arond with the dead E3 clothes, but we believe that it is likely to be an impostor. It is a Prity B2B event, to begin with.
But at least we have alternatives. There is the summer games festival backed by Keighty that is growing and growing every year (even if it does not yet have a candle to our very late electronic entertainment expo). Then there is also Ign Live. Aimed more to fans of what is in newspapers and businessmen, Ign Live will return this June per second year, and plan to be bigger and better as a physical event than the Los Angeles headquarters last year.
Ign Live will be based again on the Magic Box Downtown events space in Los Angeles, and will have practical options for unpublished games, a scenario with fresh revelations and trailers, interviews and celebrity panels. It is like all the bits that cared in E3 without any of the offers of the back room where executives would shake hands and move on the games that would probably never be thrown.
The great hyglights that stand out last year include an interview with the Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, an interview and an advance of the next Borderlands movie, and a fresh game of Greedfall 2.
