A set of characters from Honkai Star Rail ReWorks designed to take popular characters and that once were powerful to some kind of relevance is arriving in HSR 3.4, Hoyover announced during the last live transmission of the role game. Kafka, Silver Wolf, Blade and Jingliu will obtain some type of review in response to fans requests that these specific characters are renewed, said Hoyoteverse, but the study held on what these changes could consist.
Assuming that the game update calendar remains uninterrupted, HSR 3.4 should be launched in early July 2025.
Each of the four was considered among the best characters of Honkai Star Rail when they debuted in the game through 2023, and Kafka found a new relevance in 2024 when they threw crawled to the game. However, their production of damage and compositions have vanished over time. Jingliu requires a great investment and still repairs less damage than others in his class; Kafka has not had new damage characters to work in months, and the recent addition Mydei is essentially Blade 2.0.
The old characters that fade into irrelevance, colloquially called “PowerCreep”, is nothing new for the Gacha games like Honkai Star Rail, although the modern games of Hoyverse generally do not see that their characters lose such a rapid relevance. Some of the high performance of Genshin Impact of the first years of the game are still located in the popular levels lists and can see the players through challenges of the final game without problems. Then there is Zenless Zone Zero, where it is feasible to address the bosses and other hard opponents who use the same three free characters with whom you start the game. While both games have changed, they have not left their characters behind.
However, it seems unlikely that Hoyverse has similar plans for other characters. Time has left Bailu, Yanqing, Natasha, Hook and Welt in the dust, so to speak, and there is no suggestion that changes in the short term.
