half time report
Down one at the end of the first quarter, the Lakers now have the lead. It’s still anyone’s game after two quarters, but they are currently ahead of the Jazz 58-56.
If the Lakers keep playing like this, they will increase their record to 12-8 in no time. On the other hand, the Jazz will have to settle for a 4-16 record unless things change (and quickly).

What to know
The Los Angeles Lakers are making a trip to take on the Utah Jazz at 8:00 pm ET on Sunday at the Delta Center. The Jazz have home field advantage, but the Lakers are expected to win by 7.5 points.
The Lakers are heading into this after bettors set last week’s minimum over/under at 230, but even that ended up being too high. They took a 101-93 hit in the loss column at the hands of the Thunder on Friday. The contest marked Los Angeles’ lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Although the team lost, they still put in some impressive performances. One of the best came from Anthony Davis, who had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. He’s been hot recently, having recorded ten or more rebounds in the last four times he’s played.
Meanwhile, the Jazz’s recent slump got a little tougher Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 106-94 to the Mavericks.
The losing side was boosted by Walker Kessler, who had a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the result, the Jazz struggled to work together and finished the game with just 20 assists. They don’t win (0-4) when they simply don’t pass the ball.
Los Angeles dropped its record to 11-8 with the loss, which was its third in a row at home. As for Utah, their loss dropped their record to 4-15.
The Lakers didn’t have much breathing room in their game against the Jazz when the teams last played two weeks ago, but they still managed a 124-118 victory. The rematch could be a little more difficult for the Lakers since this time the team will not have the home field advantage. We’ll see if the change of venue makes a difference.
