Third quarter report
The Magic have overcome an early deficit to regain the lead in this game. They have a bit of cushion as they currently lead the Raptors 92-79.
If the Magic keep playing like this, they will increase their record to 21-15 in no time. On the other hand, the Raptors will have to settle for an 8-27 record unless things change (and quickly).

What to know
The Orlando Magic will face the Toronto Raptors at 7:30 pm ET on Friday at Scotiabank Arena. Despite being out, the Magic are looking for a 1.5-point advantage in the difference.
The Magic head into this one after oddsmakers set last week’s low over/under at 212, but even that ended up being too high. They took a 105-96 hit in the loss column at the hands of the Pistons on Wednesday.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the result, the Magic struggled to work together and finished the game with just 18 assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as the Pistons scored 25.
Meanwhile, the Raptors finally took a breather after 11 straight losses. They enjoyed a cozy 130-113 victory over the Nets on Wednesday.
Scottie Barnes was a one-man wrecking crew for the Raptors as he posted a double-double with 33 points and 13 rebounds. Additionally, Barnes also recorded a three-point shooting accuracy of 75%, which is the highest he has recorded since December 2023. Immanuel Quickley was another key player, posting a double-double with 21 points and 15 assists.
Orlando’s loss was its third in a row on the road, dropping its record to 20-15. As for Toronto, their victory ended a seven-game home drought and moved them to 8-26.
The Magic beat the Raptors in their previous meeting in March 2024 by a score of 111-96. The rematch could be a little more difficult for the Magic since this time the team will not have the home field advantage. We’ll see if the change of venue makes a difference.
