How to watch Chicago Bulls vs. Brooklyn Nets: Live stream, TV channel, start time for Monday’s NBA game

Third quarter report

The Bulls and Nets have shown up for the game, but their offenses have not. The Bulls have a bit of cushion as they currently lead the Nets 92-72.

The Bulls came into the game with extra motivation after the loss they suffered the last time these two teams met. We’ll see if they are able to turn the script around or if it will simply be more of the same.

What to know

After playing yesterday, the Brooklyn Nets will hit the road to take on the Chicago Bulls at 8:00 pm ET on Monday at the United Center. The Nets look to add another win to their three-game road streak.

The Nets are heading into this after oddsmakers set last week’s low over/under at 206.5, but even that ended up being too high. They fell 100-92 to the Magic on Sunday. Unfortunately, the loss continues a disappointing trend for Brooklyn in their matchups with Orlando: They’ve already lost five in a row.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, the Nets had a hard time working together and finished the game with just 19 assists. That’s the fewest assists they’ve posted since April.

Meanwhile, although everything was tied 67-67 at halftime, the Bulls did not match the Celtics in the second half on Friday. They took a 138-129 hit in the loss column at the hands of Boston. Even though they lost, Chicago still made a splash on offense and increased their scoring average to 118.5 points per game (they now rank fourth in overall scoring).

The losing side was fueled by Nikola Vucevic, who went 6 of 9 from long range and had a double-double with 32 points and 11 rebounds. His performance made up for a slower game against the Magic on Wednesday.

Brooklyn’s loss dropped their record to 9-12. As for Chicago, they haven’t been good lately as the team has lost three of their last four games, making a notable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Keep an eye on the goal in Monday’s game: The Nets have made hitting deep shots look easy this season, having averaged 15.4 three-pointers per game. It’s not like the Bulls have problems in that department, though, as they’ve averaged 16.4. Given these competing strengths, it will be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

The Nets beat the Bulls 120-112 in their previous meeting in November. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Vucevic, who had a double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Now that he has a second chance to win this matchup, can the Nets contain Vucevic? Check CBSSports.com after the game to find out.
