Good for fishing in a storm and completely essential for grabbing a rare item needed to open a mysterious door, knowing how to activate a Fisch Solar Eclipse Event you will become the life of all parties on the server.
How to trigger a solar eclipse in Fisch
The most common way to cause a solar eclipse is to let nature take its course.
This particular Fisch event, introduced in UPD 2, which brought the Old Island into the game, is a natural phenomenon like the Northern Lights. That means it’s largely due to bad luck: supposedly around 10% when the dawn of a new day begins.
But there is a second guaranteed way to trigger the solar eclipse event, which gives you a safe way to grab the solar shard on Ancient Island.
You can manually trigger the event this way by heading to the secret cave behind Ancient Island and picking up the Solar Eclipse Totem for C$250,000.
That’s a lot of cash. In fact, it is one of the most expensive items in the entire game. So, you better make sure you can get your money back when you use it.
Since the Eclipse Totem is usually used to grab the Solar Relic, which technically requires three more people to use correctly, you can always find a way to share the cost with other players. Trading (when it arrives) or sharing Fisch to help complete the Bestiary is one of those ways.
