Hitman writer IO Interactive will publish Form A Rocket Boy’s follow-up game MindsEye.
The company announced Wednesday that it has created a third-party publishing category, IOI Partners, which has signed the game intact from the Edinburgh-based studio, which is run by former Magnificent Robbery Car producer Leslie Benzies.
“Since day one, Build A Rocket Boy Studios has been focused on creating the next generation of engaging games and quality entertainment experiences. “We are eager to share with the world our first premium AAA game and our constantly evolving universe, MindsEye,” said the studio’s sports director, Benzies.
“There is no better partner than IO Interactive to publish our first title. With their strong understanding of community culture, premium action-adventure games, and best-in-class editorial team, we are looking forward to partnering with them on our next blockbuster journey.”
MindsEye is billed as “a story-driven action-adventure thriller set in a fictional American near-future” and featuring “best-in-class cinematics, high-octane driving, and explosive combat.”
A professional description of the game reads: “Play as Jacob Diaz, a former soldier with a mysterious neural implant who suffers from memory loss and flashbacks.
“Embark on a series of dangerous covert missions to uncover the secrets of your past in a world filled with the persistent threat of artificial intelligence, high-tech experimentation, corporate espionage, political corruption, and an unbridled military.
“MindsEye is an immersive experience with a mind-blowing and compelling narrative, rich environments, innovative combat, future technology and high-speed chases.”
In January, Form A Rocket Boy stated that it had secured a $110 million investment that would allow it to found “its three flagship products: the open-world immersive gaming and entertainment platform Everywhere, the AAA MindsEye game series, and the suite of User-friendly UGC design. tools called Arcadia.”
During a query to the studio, Form A Rocket Boy told VGC that MindsEye would only be available on All Over.
In the next question, we were told that the plan was to split it into several thematic chapters: the first would focus on single-player gameplay, the second is also more focused on multiplayer.
What’s more, as each and every MindsEye bust is saved intact, the property could become available for players to include in their own creations in All Over.
A foundational window for the sport has not yet been shown.
“We are honored to be the global publishing partner working with the exceptionally talented team at Build A Rocket Boy and to bring our community exciting new intellectual property,” said IO Interactive Hakan Abrak.
“IO Interactive and Build A Rocket Boy are like-minded in how we aim to create a long-term bond and relationship with our communities, which aligns perfectly with our commitment to delivering high-quality immersive experiences to players around the world.”
